Freezer does not hold temperature in the switch mode and finally the alarm goes on. In the continuouse mode the temperature keeps falling beyond -40 deg C which means that the compressor works. Is there a problem with compressor relay or is there an electronic control board in the freezer and where is it located?

Depress the alarm button for 3 seconds.
User Preferences:
• Activate or turn off Super Cool (select models) • Change the temperature display from °F to °C
• Enable or disable audible alarms. • Adjust the light level at which the Dispenser Auto Light will illuminate (when this feature is activated on the ice and water dispenser) (select models)
• Activate the Sabbath Mode To access the User

Preferences menu, press and hold the Door Alarm pad for three seconds. When in the User Preferences mode, a short title for the feature will appear in the Freezer temperature display and the feature status will appear in the Fresh Food display.

Program code is located on the serial plate

Press and hold the Door Alarm keypad.

Press and hold the Freezer Temperature Down keypad within 3 seconds.

Release the door alarm keypad and wait 3 seconds.

The control will display PE to indicate the programming mode.

Press the Freezer Temperature Down once more.

The control will display the current Program Code. This should be the same as the program code on the serial plate. If the code is correct, press the Door Alarm keypad for three seconds to exit.

Press the Refrigerator Temperature Up keypad or Refrigerator Temperature down keypad to change the digit value. The decimal point indicates the selected digit. Press the Freezer Temperature Up keypad to select the next digit. Once the correct program has been entered, press and hold the Freezer Temperature Down keypad until the program code begins flashing indicating it’s been saved. Exit the programming mode by pressing any key.

You need to program the new board. Programming Mode:

NOTE: The Program Code is located on the Serial Plate on this unit after the word Code.

1. Press and hold the Door Alarm Keypad .

2. Press and hold Freezer Temperature Down Keypad .

3. Release the Door Alarm Keypad and wait 3 seconds.

4. The control will display PE to indicate the programming mode.

5. Entry is confirmed by pressing the Freezer Temperature Down Keypad once more.

6. The control will display the current Program CODE. This value should be validated with the



Program CODE printed on the unit serial plate.

NOTE: If the Program CODE is correct, the Programming Mode is exited by pressing Door Alarm Keypad for 3 seconds.

7. Press the Refrigerator Temperature Up Keypad or Refrigerator Down Keypad to change the digit value with each key press.

8. The decimal point indicates the selected digit. Press the Freezer Temperature Up Keypad to select the next digit.

9. Once the desired Program CODE is entered, press and hold the Freezer Temperature Down Keypad until the Program CODE begins flashing indicating it has been saved.

NOTE: If you attempt to enter an invalid Program CODE the control will not save the new code, but will beep. (The unit will NOT run with a Program CODE of 0000).Once the Program CODE has been saved the Programming Mode is exited by pressing any key. If the new code is incorrect this process should be repeated.

The Programming mode can be exited at any time

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration.
The alarm light is a good thing. It is telling you that something is wrong. Generally, the alarm goes off when there is a temperature problem in either the freezer section or your fresh food section.
You only have one cooling source and that is in your freezer. Your freezer will satisfy its own temperature before it feeds your fresh food section.
Ok, Your freezer temperature should be between -2 & + 2 degrees F. Your fresh food section should be between 35 & 40 degrees. F. Adjust you temperature settings accordingly. Wait for a few hours to see if the alarm goes off.
Another problem with maintaining temperature control; people tend to over pack their freezer or fresh food section. Check to make sure your food product does not over extend the shelves. Also check the racks on the doors. Check to see if food product does not over hang the racks.
You also need to maintain your refrigerator. You have a cooling coil like the radiator in your car, it gets rid of heat. You must keep this clean. A dirty condenser coil can effect your temperature by as much as 40 degrees F. This coil is located either under in the front of your refrigerator or a canister looking item in the back of your refrigerator behind the lower cover.
Look at the back of your freezer wall. Is there a lot of frost or ice?
This could be either a defrost heater or freezer fan motor.

Temperature alarm
If the temperature becomes too warm, an alarm will sound and the temperature display will flash. The temperature the appliance is set at will determine when the alarm is triggered.
The alarm will sound and the display will flash under the following conditions:

• - whenevertoomuchwarmairflows into the appliance, for example when food is being loaded, re-arranged, or taken out.
• - wheneverlargeamountsoffoodare being frozen at once.
• - whenevertherehasbeenalengthy interruption of the power supply. Door alarm
  If the appliance door is left open for longer than approx. 60 seconds, the alarm signal will sound.

Switching the alarm system ON
The alarm system is always active. It does not need to be switched on manually.
Switching the alarm OFF early
Once the set temperature has been reached in the freezer section, the alarm signal stops and the temperature display stops blinking. If the alarm signal bothers you, it can be switched off early.
^ Press the alarm off button. The alarm signal will stop. The temperature display will continue to blink until the set temperature has been reached. The display then stops blinking, and shows a steady reading. At this point, the alarm system is ready again if needed.

either its not defrosting or its low on freon, is there frost anywhere in the freezer, such as the back wall?

The inverter may be in low voltage shutdown. If battery is marginal, wires small, or load significant, this all has effect on the voltage the inverter is seeing.

My wife solved it for me :-) You turn the alarm off with a switch at the bottom. The alarm turns off, but the light stays red for another 4 hours. After that the red light goes off too, and you can turn the switch back on without the alarm going off, if the freezer is back to operating temp.

Mate prehaps the defrost element could be burntout thus no auto defrost and the big freeze and the alarm, when you switch off the defrost starts and the alarm resets?
