Why is there residue on my dishes when the dishwasher is done cleaning

All the reasons

The cause of this problem could be limescale or salt residues. If the residue can easily be wiped off with a finger, it is likely too much salt. If the residue is difficult to remove and comes off with vinegar, it is likely limescale (hard water build-up).May 29, 2023

How do I keep squirrels from eating my sunflowers?

Give the squirrels another source of feed/seeds.

1.Give the squirrels their own feed away from the location to which you will be growing the sunflowers.

2.Do this before growing the sunflowers. This will get the squirrels in a pattern and to a location away from your sunflowers.

3.Keep the squirrel food container (s) full at all times. If thesquirrels are full they will not have reason to eat the sunflower seeds.

Squirrels would rather eat peanuts, seeds, oats, breads, and/or what ever you want to give them over your sunflower seeds.

** To get the old squirrels away from a location they occupy now, is to train them away from it.**

Gradually move their food source away from any location they go to now.

Once you have them following the food, keep moving it until the foodsourced is in a location you would prefer the squirrels to go to forfood, rather than the squirrels eating your sunflowers....

Good Luck!

How do you select good sunflower seeds?

Just as with any other food that you may purchase in the bulk section, make sure that the bins containing the sunflower seeds are covered and that the store has a good product turnover so as to ensure the seeds' maximal freshness.

When purchasing unshelled seeds, make sure that the shells are not broken or dirty. Additionally, they should be firm and not have a limp texture. When purchasing shelled seeds, avoid those that appear yellowish in color as they have probably gone rancid. In addition, if you are purchasing sunflower seeds from a bulk bin, smell them to ensure that they are still fresh and have not spoiled.

It is leaving an enormous amount of white residue on our dishes and is causing all of our metal dishes to come out dark.

The white residue could be from one of two sources.

Detergent Residue:
Using too much detergent or poor circulation of water can leave a white residue on the dishes. If the residue is easily rinsed off with warm water then it is detergent. Use less soap, especially if you pre-rinse the dishes or have soft water. Use a hi temperature wash to help dissolve the soap better.

Hard water deposits:
See this link where I put together some information on this.
