I have a dynex enhanced wireless g network adapter. The computer that uses it is a windows xp. The computer will recognize it and it will show up but I can't connect it to any wireless networks. There is a network in range (my laptop connects) but I can't configure the adapter to use that network, the network won't even show up.

Hello,

Does the stick see any other wireless networks? Can you try creating an Ad-Hoc network from your other laptop to this one through the USB stick? If the answer to either of these two questions then the stick is working fine.

I would check to make sure your router is not using solely a N network type because the USB stick will not support it.

If you are using a duel band router and you are currently using the 5ghz network then the USB stick will not detect this either.

Lastly if your network is not being broadcast, your laptop may connect to the network but your USB stick will not be able to locate the network.

You can also try power cycling the router (unplug for 30 seconds) and then search for networks again.

Thanks,

Pat

I have a dynex wireless network adapter and i cant run it on windows 7 because drivers are for windows xp and vista when are new drivers coming out?

They probably won't create them...that is unless hordes of people request them.

Have you already tried using the Vista drivers? Lots of times they'll work in Windows 7.

Let me know what happens and we'll try to figure something out if that doesn't work.

Similar problem... Really annoying

The issue happens due to quantity of applications at the background. Reducing the quantity of startup applications might help. Just type MSCONFIG after clicking run, At startup tab uncheck the non-essential applications
