My HP 6280 will not print the full picture after it has been scanned. I put it in the right hand corner, chose the correct paper size and it still won't print correctly. Can you please help

Check corner marking for placing the document, place the document & scan through system, verify whether you got full scanned image? if not adjust the placement in correct position, once its OK, go for print there select correct image size(could be 100%) & paper size..I hope it will solve the issue..Best of luck

Can't scan anything

To scan a document, open your HP printer ICON on the desktop screen. Then choose "scan" and either picture or document. Make sure you put your paper that you want scanned into the printer before you begin. After you choose scan and picture or document it will automatically pull the picture from the printer and bring it to your computer screen. Then you either accept or reject it. If you dont have your printer software installed go to HP's website and download the full software to run the officejet and install it. You will know if you have the software by checking to see if there is a printer ICON on your desktop.

I need to find out how to scan a paper from the scanner to my computer so I can make changes on the paper.the printer is a 6100injet all in one HP

If you installed the software from the CD, then:
1. put document in feeder
2. on the computer
[Start]
[All Programs]
[HP 6100]
[Scan to OCR]
The scanner will scan the document pages and put them on your computer.
It will automatically open your wrodprocessor program (MS Word?)

The OCR (optical character resolution) will be less than 100% accurate and will not handle pictures.
It will also have problems with "tables" and inserted items like Excel sheets.

Best thing to do is to request that the original document be emailed to you instead.

Hope this helps!

Lexmarkx125 will scan larger pictures but smaller ones.

Here are some instructions from the Lexmark X63 which was similar to the X125.

The Lexmark X63 uses a sheet fed scanner, intended to scan 8 1/2 x11 inch paper.
  • To scan a document between 5 1/2 inches and 8 3/4 inches wide, center the document between the paper feed guides leading into the scanner and make sure the document is held straight,. Do not bend the document as it is fed into the scanner.
  • To scan photos or pictures that are 5 1/2 inches wide or smaller, you will need to use a flatbed scanner, or "mat" the image into a regular letter-size paper and scan the entire page. When the scan process is complete, crop out the picture using the AUTO CROP option in the Scan and Copy Control program or the photo-editing software.

HP psc 1210 all in one

When you scan a picture or document try placing some white paper over the picture or document AND more importantly, cover the glass in a manner such that you have all the glass covered. That should solve your scanning issue. If it does not solve the problem, write back, including what happened when you tried the suggestion. Like I always say, try the easiest solution first, and then progress to the next step. Good luck. rey

I can't Scan 8 1/2 by 14. It cuts the scan to that of a regular paper. I can fax by 8 1/2 by 14 and it comes out alright. how i do the set up. I used the set up in the scan but it did not help.

I also had problems scanning legal size documents with a Brother MFC-7440N. The documents would scan but would not come out complete. A large portion of the text would always be left out and only an image of the size of regular page size would come out. I knew it had to be something with the settings, so after experimenting with my MFC-7440N I came to the conclusion that I was not going to find the solution on the actual machine. I had a "Hunch" that I would find my solution by connecting the printer to my laptop computer and use the software that came with it. After a couple of minutes I was able to scan Legal Size documents in a breeze... I should of done this months ago. All scanned docs came out in full size.

So I took some screen shots to post them up here to let everyone know how to scan legal size documents since I noticed that people are having trouble just like I did. With this instructions you will also be able to scan any available size documents with a Brother MFC-7440N. I will also guide you step by step. After step 4 the remainder steps are OPTIONAL unless you need to change the color or picture file types. Okay, here we go!

Step 1.
Make sure your MFC-7440N is connected to your computer and the computer has the software installed that came with the printer.
Place the Legal Sized documents/papers that you want to scan on the Paper Feeder Scanner located on the most upper area of the machine.

Step 2. On your computer, go to START then to DEVICES and PRINTERS, or CONTROL PANEL then DEVICES and PRINTERS. Locate the icon of your MFC-7440N. If its not your DEFAULT printer make it the default one. Then RIGHT Click on the icon. A menu will pop open. Locate START SCAN and click it.

Step 3. A small window will open that will give you various options to scan a multitude of sizes and different settings. Locate where it says SOURCE. The default setting might be FLATBED meaning the flatbed scanner of your machine. Click the drop down menu and select FEEDER. By selecting the feeder option your computer will tell your machine to use the automatic paper scanner located on the most upper area of your machine.

Step 4. Locate PAPER SIZE. Click on the drop down menu and then select Legal 8.5 x 14 inches (216 x 356mm).
If your documents are already located in the feeder you can now go ahead and click SCAN and your documents will begin to scan.
Your scanned documents will be saved in a file folder in your computer and that file will pop open for your convenience once all documents are scanned.

If you need to change COLOR or Black and White setting plus Picture File Types such as Jpeg or Tiff just click on their respective drop down menu before clicking SCAN.Here are some pictures to help me illustrate it.

I hope you find this helpful.

Thank You!
