I have had this TV for a few years. I used to keep it on all night and turned my cable box off. I figured last night that i should turn it off because it is not good for the tv. When i woke up and tried to turn it on the power button blinks a few times but tv wont turn on! Please help!!!!!!!

I am by no means an expert but i have the same type of TV and have a similiar problem, first I thought it might be a heat-induced effect so I vacuumed the interior but no joy--then I carefully inspected the main board and found two components that looked melted. So I would suggest you vaccum the interior and then inspect. But be careful as I found one capacitor on the board that still had a charge after 3 days of the set being turned off, you might want to verify things with a multimeter before poking around.

Plug the power cord directly into a wall power outlet, and make sure that the standby light is lit (turn it on/off manually to see if anything changes). If there isn't any light, then it's most likely broken.
If the TV works again, being plugged into the power outlet in the wall, then the problem is with the cable box (i bet you figured that out too).
Are you using a remote, or try to turn on manually. If your remote does not work, it needs to be programed to your t.v. And all remotes and t.v.s have different codes. Sometimes your cable provider will help you program your remote, or reset your cable box. My remote for my cable was not programmed, so I had to read the instructions myself to get the remote to work with the cable box channels.
Sounds like there is too much voltage going into the same outlet. Please keep in mind cable boxes as well as your tv hold a higher amount of voltage then your dvd player. If your tv is plugged into the back of your cable box, unplug that and just plug it directly into the wall. If not, get a power strip and plug it in that way.
It can Have one of 2 Troubles, The Inverter Board is Defective or the Power Supply has bad Capacitors. I found 3 Capacitors known to go bad in that set. Replace the 10 Volt Capacitors with 16 Volt Caps and they will last forever.
Our Celestial set top box has been fine for a year or so but jjust

Unplug TV set from the outlet, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, select right input with your remote if you using cable box or Punch the channel that you want to watch if you have cable service connected directly to the TV.
6/1/2010 11:34:21 AM Good morning I have sound problem it started with the cable hook up there box to the television, now sound is very low. Turn up the TV control to max, nothing but low sound. Of course cable people have no idea of a problem, I disconnected the cable but the same problem, love the set work for two years, note: thing happen when all analog change to digital. help!
It is not picking up signal. Look on your remote for a button marked tv/video or inputs. Try to switch back to rite input or your sat or cable box has failed. Try another tv to see if you get pix
