Jura Capresso Impressa S9 -water won't pull into the unit

I have owned a jura Capresso S9 for 3 plus years with no problems. this morning we changed the filter just like always. But, the water won't pull through the system. The pump runs but water does not come out the steam nozzle. We tried several new filters and none of them resolve the problem. we put the old filter back in and that didn't work either. Does anyone have any idea as to how to resolve this problem?

thanks much
pam

I actually had to open the machine from the back. Had to drill the heads off the safety screws. Don't worry you can replace with real screws with real heads. on the back on the bottom find the orange pump. There is a clear tube leading to it on the right. With the fill tank in place carfully take needle nose pliers and unhook the water line so the air will clear and water will come out by gravity feed. then hook it back on when full with water. Be careful not to spill much water in the machine and of course have it unplugged when doing this. This enabled the pump to prime... I then had to clean the pipes up in the top left to get steam....solved elsewhere on this site.

We have the same problem after installing a new filter (after 5years of perfect usage & no problem or maintenan)ce. An engineer told us to take the filter out completely & try to draw off water...if it does, do a de-scale IMMEDIATELY (using only recommended product) because the machine may be calcified. If that doesn't work, it may be the sprung sensor under the water carriage which may be blocked(with limescale) or broken...OR the little mesh sensor in the main body of the machine (which is located under the water filter). I am trying this tonight, otherwise its an engineer callout for collection & repair!

I had the same problem and was about to take the machine apart when my girlfriend suggested I call customer service instead. Turns out when changing the filter, the air inside the new filter got sucked inside the machine causing a solenoir valve to airlock shut. You need to immerse the new filter in water before installing in the tank. All you do is keep pressing the steam button for 10 or 15 minutes at a time to jar loose the valve. Make sure you give the pump a rest every 10 minutes or so, or when the sound changes significantly so you dont burn it out. I did about 5 rounds of this yesterday and gave up, thinking I need to take it in for service....turned it on this morning for a few pushes and it worked. Be patient.

Jura Capresso Impressa S9- no steam

I had a similar problem. I took off the side and rear cover, followed the hose that comes from the steam wand to the rear of hte unit. It enters a solenoid made by ACL Italy. I dismantled the solenoid unit by disconnecting the two hose ends, removing the relay, and unscrewing the plunger unit (vertical pipe). The plunger unit internals should move freely up and down like a piston in a cylinder , powered by a small spring. In my unit, this plunger was calcified and seized. I soaked it in boiling water and pressed on it gently several times and it unstuck. I put it all back together again and presto! Good luck

My Jura Impressa xs90 keeps stating fill system, even after filling the system several times for the last 3 days.

Empty the Water tank and fill it with warm water. Then keep trying for some time and the problem will get solved.

I have a jura capresso S7. I am finding water in

This is normal, after each cycle the brew unit will empty the drainvalve for excess water, this will ensure that the water used for each new cup is fresh from the watertank.
