Open the front door (above the HP logo, not below it) and you should see your toner cartridges. If you see only black ETB unit, pull it just like you pulled the door, sometimes it stays in that position. Now you should definitely see your cartridges.

Known problem with this machine the fan is located next to the magenta laser scanner at the base of the machine. this fan blows dust on to the scanner lenses and makes the prints light. Needs to be taken apart and cleaned. take it to a local service center if they know what they are doing should be less then an hour.

My HP3505 we just installed a ne black toner, now when we print it leaves a small line about 3 inches in from right side of paper every 1 inch. all the way down. Is this becasue or drum is dirty

hi

if you have not replaced the image drum (fuser) after three or four toner replacement changes, you will need to replace the fuser assembly to avoid unwanted lines and grainy or faded prints.
it is also a good idea to replace the rollers as well, if they have not been replaced either

RM1-2763-020CN fuser assembly worth about $200 with exchange of your old fuser

RM1-2727-000CN, worth about $10-$15

please send me 4 thumbs up

50.2 code on a hp 3505

Hi:

A 50.2 error is a fuser error. This is the assembly that heats up and fusees the text to the paper. It is located at the top of the printer. The fuser is not warming up and is throwing this error. The fuser would have to be replaced.

10.xx.xx errors all relate to supplies. If you recently replaced a toner cartridge then likely the chip on that cartridge is bad.

Your helpful friend may have only broken something on the toner.
Have them buy you a new toner, and see if that fixes the issue.
If not, take some pictures of the inside of the printer and we'll see what we can come up with as a fix....and you'll still have that extra toner your friend bought you as compensation for their genius.

10.92.03 error showing while printer door closed.

One of the cartridges may not be seated correctly. Open the door and remove all the cartridges. Close the door and power the printer on. Then, replace each toner one at a time, closing the door in between each one. This should allow you to determine which toner is not seated correctly. Remove and reseat that cartridge. Clear any foreign debris from the area. You may have to replace that cartridge in the event it is defective.

I have a yellow streak down the side of the pages how do I stop it?

You may have yellow toner building up inside the printer which is causing this issue. By having a maintenance cleaning done it should reslove the issue.

Color Laserjet 3505 13.20 service error

There is a set of sensor flags on the bottom of the paper input unit (paper feed assembly). You may be able to see them if you take out tray 2, remove the toner cartridges, and turn the printer on its back. One side of the rod can get stuck, it will make it look curved, it should be straight. "un-stick" the stuck side (typically the left side) so the flags can move freely.
