My TV is Hitachi 60V500A rear projection TV. I replaced the bulb but still showing lamp light. What should i do?

Its real easy on this model when you replace the lamp for the pins on it not to line up perfectly when installed.

From the front on right side look for and open the door that covers it.

A yellow tint is most probably the cause of a burnt out lamp. There are usually 3 lamps 1 for each main color sounds like one of them went.

I have hitachi lcd rear projection tv model 60v500A at first I was getting a red spot on centar of tv with in two mounths the spot got bigger. I chanched the lamp but now i don't have a picture, the red indicator on tv is now blinking.

Did you make sure to put the lamp door back on? There is a safety switch that will not allow the set to turn on when the door is off. If that isn't it, then you could have a bad lamp ballast or even a bad lamp door switch. I would start there. If no luck there then you most likely have a problem on the power supply module, which could be just about anything on it. Good luck.

Good Luck with this. We have complained about a darkening screen we were told to replace the lamp. We did so for $100. After the problem was only getting worse, they said it was because I did not purchase a "Hitachi" bulb. They stated they knew their's were more expensive ($300) but should solve the problem. Well, we didn't bite. It became clear that we no longer could see blues, pinks, yellow, and most browns. A call back to customer service stating these problems ended with us learning we needed to replace a color engine to the tune of $850-$1200. We have only had the tv for about 4 years. Needless to say we bought a new Samsung Plasma for a little more than the replacement part. Hitachi products, never again.

If its not Lamp ,most of the time its the Ballast Board it is what turns Lamp on. Go to Encompass Parts Distr website CK out your Model number see what they have in Parts or call 1-800-638-3328

google 50v500a bulb or 60v500a bulb... Lots out there...It's a DIY job I think
