Card reader connector

Most multi card readers are usb, but not the external kind that fits in the back of the motherboard, the internal kind.
If you look at the edges of the otherboard you will see three small blue connectors. Those are internal USB connectors, it should say next to them. Plug it in the correct way round (it will only go in one way) into any one of the three.

Most card readers are driven by USB ports. The card reader connector should match the pins of one of the USB connectors on the MB.

Infact front USb ports are connected with the card reader it self.If you are havingthe separate connectors then you will have to connect those to motherboard to make those USBs to work.

You can get any 9 in one card reader from nearest hardware vendor and deploy it.

Install a PCI usb card to give you the USB connectors.

The 7 pin connector is for the media card readers and needs to be plugged into a USB header on your motherboard. Not all motherboards have this header, so consult your motherboard manual. You may have to connect it in place of front USB connectors on your PC case.

The card reader will work without a separate power connection. The power connection is for the floppy drive only, and IS required for the drive to work. You should be able to find the appropriate connector on your power supply.

Easy, if you find where your front usb port is connected you'll see some odd ports that have 10 pins slots one of which has a missing pin, either in the lower left hand corner or in one of the center pin positions. Find the one that matches your generic (usb) card reader and plug her in. The card readers that come prebuilt in computers now are based on usb technology and fit into the same slots as the USB connectors. In fact if this is on a 915G it should plug into one of the JUSB1 or 2 slots.

Well, installing an internal card reader without a spot on the motherboard, is a little hard to do. I would suggest buying an external card reader. They are a little cheaper, and a lot easier to setup and use, since they just connect to a USB port which all computers have.

you should connect it by the scheme VCC | Data - | Data + | Ground.
In most motherboards you have connector something like this

* * * * *
By this scheme the first one is vcc and then by the scheme 
i`ve attached.

If you can, show please screenshots of your connector on card reader!

All of the internal card readers I've seen either: -have built-in media converters which in turn plug into standard connections (USB, Firewire, ect.). -have their own PCI card with an appropriate connector for your card reader. That card plugs into your motherboard. Is it possible you card reader is missing something or perhaps was designed for some other motherboard?

Are you trying to install the Dell Media Card Reader? If so then the other end of the ?FlexBay USB cable that plugs into the card reader goes into a small rectangular connector towards the back of the motherboard. Specifically orient as follows; place the computer on its side, the power supply to your left and the front of the computer facing towards you. Starting at the back of the motherboard next to the power supply follow the back edge of the motherboard till you come to the approximate center of the board. About an inch towards you there will be a rectangular connector the FlexBay USB cable end should fit into.
