How to turn off time/date stamp on finepix s1850

Seeing the Date When Previewing images
  • The camera records the date and time of each photo in the metadata attached to each picture. You have the option to see the date and time when when the camera is in "Playback" mode, which allows you to preview your images on the screen. When looking at your pictures, use the "Disp/Back" button to include text with your pictures. The date and time will appear along the bottom of the image.

Printing the Date on Pictures
  • Users can include the time and date on their prints from the "Mode" menu by choosing "Print Order" with the "With Date" option.

How to have date stamp permenantly on

There is no way to have the camera stamp every picture with the date. However, the date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture. The camera can stamp this onto a picture using the "Text Stamp" command in the playback menu, but this will resize large pictures into smaller pictures.
If you simply want the date printed on the pictures, refer to the documentation for whatever photo printing program you're using. Depending on the program and printer, you may be able to print the date on the photo, in the margins, or on the back.

How do i make sure that the date is on my pictures when i take a picture from my Sony Cyber shot camera

because the image is digital, the camera will ALWAYS stamp the date into whats called the 'metadata'. you wont see it on the actual image but there are many ways to view it.. if you have a mac, just right click the image and "get info". if you want the date visually stamped on the actual image, go to your camera settings and turn that option on. im not sure what model you have, but it should be an option good luck

After taking one picture system error 2 appears on screen

Let me guess.... it's a Nikon Coolpix 8800, right? How do I know? Apparently it's a common problem with this camera. The short answer is that there's not a lot you can do, but various people have reported improvements by resetting the camera's software (it's in the menu system). You may also have some success turning VR off, and/or reformatting the CF card.

If you're lucky, after resetting it, you may get more than one picture taken before it fails again. Repeat the reset procedure, until it stops making things better.

It was an expensive, if somewhat dated camera; I hate to say it, but you may be lucky that you lasted this long without suffering this problem... and if you want to read the "long version" of the write-up, you can find it on MacRumours right here.

Time and date not coming in the print

time and date are not superimposed on 2006 cameras and later. However it can be printed:

Solution
sp.gif sp.gif Current camera models (after 2006) do not have a superimpose function to display the time or date stamp on pictures. However, the time and date can be printed on images from a computer using Picture Motion Browser software. Additionally, if the camera is compatible with Canon® PictBridge™ technology, the time or date can be added to a picture by a printer that also has built-in PictBridge technology.
NOTE: When time and date stamp information is superimposed on an image file, it cannot be removed without editing or cropping the image. Therefore, the function to superimpose the time and date stamp was removed from newer-model cameras to prevent users from accidentally overlaying the information on images when the feature was inadvertently turned on.

How do i get the date to print on my pictures. also the descreption of each setting of the dial on top

Some cameras let to print the date to pictures and some others not. You should say the brand and model name first.

Generally you should enter to settings and turn the position of this feature to on. Then you may control it with the below explanations.

1. Turn on the camera.

2. Enter to settings.

3. Find this feature to turn it to on position.

4. Be sure that you save this setting.

5. Take a picture.

6. Turn the mode dial button to view mode.

7. Look at the latest picture that you have taken.

8. Zoom out the picture and look at the right bottom of the picture.

That is all.

I hope it will help.

How do i remove the time and date at bottom right corner of picture.

Manual can be downloaded free from here ....

http://safemanuals.com/annexe_POWERSHOT%2020A550%2020CAMERA%2020USER%2020GUIDE%2020ADVANCED%2020_CANON_POWERSHOT%20A550-_E.htm

Basically the date stamp can be turned on / off as an option on the RECORD menu. Page 33 of the manual explains it (with pictures).

Note that if the option is turned on, it states that the date / time is permanently embedded in the picture.

Hope this helps

Print Picture with date

I don't believe that the XTi will let you have the date on the picture.
Easiest solution I can think of is to download some free software like Paint.net and use the text tool to add it in the corner before printing.
If you have forgotten the date or time, and you're using windows (not sure how to do this on a mac) right click on the image, go to properties, click the summary tab, and then click Advanced. That will give you something called the EXIF data, or all the info about the picture (camera model, shutter speed, etc). Near the bottom should be the date and time.
