Hi folks! i have a rather frustrating problem that i had never encountered before connecting my magic mic into my new HDTV. when i connect it via the yellow video and red/white audio cables to my SHARP AQUOS HDTV, there is about a 2 second delay in the sound. it makes proper singing impossible. any ideas? i've tried moving into different ports behind my tv and interchanging the cables. still no luck. any ideas guys??!! thank u!!!
Ok..I found a workable solution. Essentially using my HDTV only for the lyrics(video output) and using a RCA to stereo mini plug cable to send the sound output to my amplifier that has a analog stereo input. Works like magic. No delay. It went from being unusable to WOW!
Hi all!
first off, thank goodness a site like this exists. thank you fixya!
ok, here's my setup:
Sony XBR-LX900 LED LCD TV
Pioneer Elite VSX-31 Receiver/Amp
Entertech MagicSing ET-19K
my problem:
anything you sing in the mic is about 0.5-2 seconds delayed. ie when you sing, it takes forever to get to the speakers and back to your ears.
SOLUTION:
i followed pmavuduru's advice, but to less extremes. physical hookup was the same. the KEY WAS TO CHANGE THE AUDIO PROCESSING ON MY RECEIVER TO 'PURE DIRECT' which turns of all analog to digital conversion.
DETAILS:
Any analog signal that goes into the receiver gets up converted to digital so that it can be processed (distribution of voice, music, bass, etc to your 4, 5, 6, or 7 speakers setup). By going to 'Pure Direct' (this is the verbage the Pioneer uses, but each company will have it's own name for switching the sound processing off).
Good luck guys! If you're using a TV only and you're experiencing this issue, turn off the sound processing if you can (look for words like dynamic sound, auto surround, 3D STS sound, etc.).
Thanks for this. I bought a new receiver and have a huge Karaoke Party tomorrow. The mics had a delay and, long story short, you saved me from a disaster! Thanks again!
Hi, how about on MCS-333 Pioneer it has delay. audio processing is not in any option i tried checking the settings its not there, is it possible that it would have a different name on the settings for me to be able to adjust it..i just need help..

With my 40" Sony Bravia HDTV, I tried to set the audio to Standard instead of Dynamic and the delay seems to be less/minimized or even actually gone. I posted a few minutes ago that I didn't have any problem with the Sony 20" Wega TV but got the 2sec delay with the HDTV then I saw the solution given by the Customer Service Department
We also have a Sharp Aquos TV that is connected to a Blu ray home theater sound system. I went to best buy and bought a pair of Plug Couplers and a longer audio cable (the red and white). Connected my magic mic yellow cable to back of the TV, extended my audio cable using the couplers and longer cable and plug it to the back of the Blu ray audio slot. I unplug the existing a/v cable that was connected to our TV to watch Blu ray, since I know I would only be using the magic mic every so often it was just easier to connect it whenever I'm gonna use it. Change the input to AUX and now we could sing without delays and still use a awesome sound system. A easy $20 fix. Better than buying a new receiver that cost $150, then purchase speakers on top of that. When I was done I just connected the AV cable of the Blu ray to the TV again and put away my magic mic.
Can you please help me how you did this? Attach a picture or something and a more detailed instruction? What kind of coupler should I buy? There seemed to be different kinds. And my TV doesn't have AUX as a choice. I have a Vizio. It has comp/AV, HDMI 1-4, and RGB como. Those are the choices I have on my tv.
There's only one thing connected to my Bluray which is the HDMI cable.
And what is the reasoning behind unplugging the a/v cable (which I don't really know what that is) to watch the Bluray. Because I watch Bluray on my tv with just the HDMI cable. I don't think I have the a/v cable you're talking about. Basically I'm confused and my Magic sing is not usable because of the delay. So please help. Thanks.

Hi just wondering i have an LG HDTV and theres s delay with my mic about 2seconds i have the same problem with u guys but my one is LG its frustrating, can someone help me..
plug the yellow cable (video) at the back of your LG tv, then the red and white cables (audio) directly into your amplifier. works to me. i got LG HDTV and Yamaha amp 5.1 surround.
Can someone please help me with the WOW Magicsing Videoke Premium. On the contrary, I have it being set up through a projector and mixer!?? And yes, that 2 second delay again... Any suggestions???
WHAT IF YOU DONT HAVE AN AMPLIFIER ?

WE have a Sharp LED HDTV and we couldnt seem to fix the delay follwoing the instructions here, please help. :(
I had same problem with my Sony bravia 46 inches HDTV. I have tried the answer 1 and it really worked well. Again I repeat that the yellow component (video) should only be connected to HDTV while the white and red components (audio) are to be connected to the home theatre (amplifier) directly. This requires a extension cord and one adoptor for yellow component. It worked really well. I was successful in singing songs yesterday in my family function and it was huge success. Once again, I thank all the people who posted their answers here. Any one who has this similar problem can also request my advice on my mail: [email protected]. From: Dr.G.Ravi Prabhu, Tirupati
Hi , yes i know of another person having the same problem with their EG18000 as well am not sure if this is a prob with certain tvs or within the unit itself
I just found a simple solution for my SHARP AQUOS HDTV. From remote control I selected "Option", then select "change audio output device", switch from "by aquos SP" to “by aquos audio SP”, then I had no more delay!!!
Try it out if you have the same HDTV, or try similar setting for any other models. Good luck!
Hi, keep it in mind. Latest Tv's are digital now a days they have digital circuit board. If you connecting a stereo sound on the input of digital tv it will process a digital output on the tv speaker that's why there is a delay of sound audio. To have a better sound or vocal output connect the audio cables of magic sing on old karaoke machine if u have one or ampli. If not check you're tv's adjustment on audio output. If u run you're magic sing in old karaoke machine buy adapter cables rca audio IN femail to phono input of the karaoke machine.. Hope I gave u idea.

The problem is with the newer TVs having processing on the audio inputs. Our old (2005) 50" plasma TV worked fine (no delay) while our new (2017) 65" Sony LED TV had the delay.
So either find out how to turn off your TV's audio processing, or just connect the video (yellow) cable to the TV and connect the audio (red and white) cables to your stereo. The sound should be much better from your stereo than TV anyway.
I fixed ours by connecting the MagicSing's HDMI output to our stereo's DVD HDMI input, then connecting our stereo's HDMI output to any one of our TV's HDMI inputs. This made the MagicSing's video display on the TV while the MagicSing's audio came out our stereo's speakers. It sounded so much better from the stereo compared to the TV speakers!!!
Please visit this link. This provides a good workaround

I had this problem and after reading the other solutions I agree and have tested it suceesfully. I have a 46in hdtv and connected the kareoke to an external guitar amplifier on one channel and the other channel to a subwoofer. This I accomplished using a splitter cable. Worked perfectly...after adjusting the mic and music levels on the kareoke!!

Usually answered in minutes!
it's due to analogue-to-digital upconvert. I have the same problem.
I have the same problem, I thought it's because of the wireless mic that I had this delay.
I only have HDTV (samsung lcd) at home, has anyone tried it on non-hdtv and works?
Thanks,
I have the same problem,
Samsung LCD 40" with Samsun6 5.1 HTX 72 system
Both suks as they gibe Delay while I try to sing from Mic
With TV speakers it seems no Delay though
Same problem here with Sony 50 " XBR bravia
As per my experiences- being the Customer Service Department head of magic sing, magic sing not compatible with HDTV, plasma or LCD tv.
but you can at least try resetting your audio mode to either TV mode or Amp mode.
Same problem here it's very frustrating
