I have a Maytag dishwasher, model #MDB4100AQ. Is it possible to replace the door panel on this dishwasher? I see the relevant part number (99002109) in various online parts stores, but before I order it I want to make sure this is a do-it-yourself job. I can't see any screws or other hardware that's holding the panel in place.

You may not have to deal with the screws. Check out ApplianceArt.com to see if they might have a solution to fit your needs. I know they have stainlesss options, but also colors and designs.

Does maytag dishwasher model MD9100AWB have a interchangeable color front?

you model number is missing a letter I'm guessing its a MDB9100awb. They don't make them like they use to, where you can just flip them around nor you have to order a whole new front.
For White Order 99001416 For Bsq Order 99002109
For Stainless Steel Order 99002169 For Blk 99001417

they look to be around 75 buck

Thermal Fuse

If the dishwasher won't start the thermal fuse might have blown. The thermal fuse helps to prevent damage to the dishwasher by turning off power so that it doesn't overheat. Once blown, the thermal fuse will have to be replaced for the dishwasher to work. The thermal fuse is usually located in the control panel on the control board or mounted to the bottom of the tank behind the lower panel. The thermal fuse can be checked for continuity.

Door Switch

The door switch, or switches, are sometimes called interlock switches. The door switch prevents the dishwasher from running while the door is open. If the dishwasher won't start, the switch or switches might be defective. To access the door switches, remove the control panel or inside door panel - depending on the model. They can be tested for continuity.

The main control board provides power to nearly every component of the dishwasher. If the dishwasher won't start the main control board might be defective. Touchpad and Control Panel

If the touchpad is defective, the control board might not get the signal for the selections made. If the dishwasher won't start and the display doesn't seem to change properly when the buttons are pressed, the touchpad might need to be replaced. On some models the touchpad and control panel are sold together and will need to be replaced at the same time.
