I have a Sanyo T700 camera. Just got a new battery off Ebay. I inserted it inside the camera and a red light came on. Does that mean the battery is charging or does a green light mean that its charging?..Does the green light come on and the red light goes off when its fully charged?..Help

Obtain or purchase Battery Checker. $10 or less. Then test the batteries. If charged, disregard red light and pull batteries from charger and disconnect charger.

mine was doing that too but I put 1/2 of a toothpick on the battery, closed the door to the battery compartment to keep the toothpick in place and it seemed to help make a better connection w/ the battery. i have not had any problems with it charging since I did that, I just have to keep the toothpick on it :-/

The manual says that a red light is a charging error. Green means it is charging and the light goes out when charging is complete.

The camera must be turned off when charging the battery. They recommend a full 8 hour charge for a new battery, then allow it to discharge completely (leave the camera on I guess) and charge it again "before use".

The AC power adapter may charge the battery. Make sure that the poser of the camera is off and then insert the battery before starting.
1. Connect one end of the adapter converter to the end of the AC power adapter. Make sure camera is off.
2. Insert the other end of the adapter converter to the PC/AV terminal on the camera.
3. Insert the other end of the AC power adapter into a wall outlet. The status LED lights green when charging is started and lights off when charging is completed. It lights red when a charging error has occurred.

I have the same problem. Sanyo advised this charger is no longer made. Other than eBay, Radio Shack has charger that will work with the battery in the VPC-T700 and priced at $30. Walmart has a universal charger for numerous devises with varying connections, also priced at $30. I did not try the Walmart option; however, the packaging does list Sanyo products are compatable.

I had this same problem with my Sanyo. I went on E Bay and purchased a new battery.. It was about 8 dollars and shipped from China. But it worked when I put the new battery in and charged it.

hi the best thing you can do is try ebay for a new battery and if that one charges then you know its the battery and ebay are always very reasonably priced
