I have an electric fire place. The blower is fine, however, the light that ulluminates the logs and makes it look like a real fireplace is out. How can I fix it?

I just repaired ours and it is quite simple,if it is the same type.First remove the front cover frame, then with a screw driver repove the clip at the top of glass, ease out the glass and lift up to remove.Remove the plastic logs and you look inside and you will see your burnt out lights, remove them, buy the same type and replace them, normally they are standard candleobra light that you can buy at any hardware store.

How can I take the glass screen off, or open the front of my electric fire in order to clean and dust the fire logs please?

FULL 'make model (what it is)', as first 3 words in every question.

Yes they all have access to the logs, having make and model makes the answer easier. There are instructions and videos in this link. If you know make and model you can delete 'how to' and replace it with 'make model'.

Gas fireplace question

Simulated gas log fireplaces usually don't have a blower of any type. They depend on the radiant and conducted heat much like there was a real wood fire in the firebox. Look in the manual to determine if a blower was included, but I doubt it because of risk that CO would be propelled into the living space.
