Setting an ultronic clock

One of the residents in a retirement home has an ultronic clock with a stylus tucked into the back. He can't set it and neither can I. I was wondering if there were instructions somewhere in computer land that could help us. There is a reset button but that doesn't help either. It uses 2 AA batteries and I have tried changing them but that doesn't do anything either.

Thanks for any help you can send my way.

All it says on the clock is Ultronic and Made in China. No other writing is visible except for inside it says reset above the reset button.

Setting Ultronic clocks is like trying random combinations on a padlock. Quite hopeless. What a stupid product.

  • ron222 Jun 21, 2008

I've got the same clock. The only response I can get by using the wand is to change from time mode to date mode but can't reset either. I can touch the temp. icon and get it to change from fahrenheit to celsius. All I use it for now is as a thermometer.

unable to set time or date

  • Anonymous Jun 26, 2008

if it's a touch screen, set the to the clock setting by touching the clock icon. use the stylus or finger and touch and hold the minutes until you hear a beep then you can increment the numbers by tapping/holding on to the numbers you want to change.
do the same with the date, change it to the date setting and touch and hold on to the last two digits of the year --> you can tap on the corresponding values to be changed.

    goodluck

Above the display it says ULTRONIC. On the back it says made in China. Remove the battery cover & there is a reset button. There is no model number. A stick probe comes with it. I have no idea how to set any of the features. Time, day, and month are wrong.

Is Ultronic the brand name or the model of the clock?

  • Anonymous Mar 31, 2012

I don't see at all how to change Celius to Farenheit or military time to standard clock time.. I've held the mode button on the back but that doesn't do anything but change the clock by increasing or decreasing the existing time.

Thank you for posting your information. It helped me get those details set on the clock. Now... if I could just understand the weather part of the clock... I would feel completely enthusiastic with this gadget! It came with all kinds of "bumps and scratches" but Time Magazine offered to send me a replacement in a few weeks which was nice to hear. Hopefully by then I know how it all works. Again, thanks for your support!

  • Anonymous Feb 10, 2013

Setting the Ultronic Clock from Time Magazine with "Mode" Button. Press the "Mode" button to select the YEAR, DATE, or TIME. Now Press and HOLD the "Mode" button (about 2 to 3 seconds). The display will flash. Use the UP or DOWN Botton to set the display to the desired YEAR, DATE, or TIME. Press the "Mode" button again to set your selection. For the next 3 settings, be sure the display IS NOT FLASHING. To change the display from Centigrade to Fahrenheit, just tap the "DOWN" button. The temperature will toggle between degrees C or F. To chage between 12 hour and 24 hour display, press and HOLD the "UP" button (about 2 to 3 seconds). To turn the ALARM On and Off, just tap the UP button. Good Luck.

I have one of these clocks and my issue is with it is that it will only display military time and Celsius temps. There does not seem to be a way to change this. Mode only lets you change the time but not the displaying versions of either am/pm/military or f/c.
Besides this, it works fine, but I don't care to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit or military time to PM at each glance at the clock.
ULTRONIC, silver with black frame covering, 5" x 5" inches, .75 inches thick. Back buttons read l to r: MODE, UP, DOWN, SNZ, MAX/MIN. with a little hole that reads above RESET. Stick that shows, Made in China.
thanks for any suggestions, before I throw away.

To change from military time, make sure your clock is displaying the time, then hold down the up button for threee seconds. This will toggle between military and am/pm time. For the temperature, make sure your clock is displaying the time, then press the down button for one second to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celcius.

  • Anonymous Apr 20, 2013

In regular mode, press DOWN to switch between Celcius and Fahrenheit. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to select AM/PM instead of military time.

  • Anonymous May 29, 2013

I have one of these clocks, It was given to me some years ago as gift from Time for renewing my subscribtion. It is reset by putting your finger on the numeral you want to change, they to be heat sensitive or pressure. I am having trouble changing mine because of daylight savings change. It takes patience. The dates, temperature C or F, year, month and day can all be changed by this method. The reset button makes it so you have to reset all settings. Rich

.I have just beeen presented with this problem and immediately changed the batteries, (probably not neccessary.) Then I pressed the reset button.
There are squares of different reflectivity around the figures, let's say the "pm"
These squares are pressure sensitive but they take some time to react. If you fiddle about using finger pressure on these squares I feel sure you will be able to work it out and be able to make the neccessary changes. I did not use the stylus but probably the manufacturer intended this Marshminder1.

Ultronic lcd clock with a stylus tucked in back of clock

This thing set under my bed, lifeless til I was looking for something else and decided it was time to get this clock working!

(Use the stylus pen for best results) After putting in two fresh batteries (or hit the reset button if your batteries are fresh). This will reset the clock and the 'clock' icon in the upper lefthand corner will be blinking. Now press and hold the display area where the hour of the day is displayed. The entire time will start blinking. Now start tapping on the blinking hours to increment the clock slowly to the correct hours (it will cycle all the way thru military time and regular time, so choose what you desire). Press and hold with the stylus to increment quickly. Do the same with the minutes, that are blinking too. When time is correct, tap the 'clock' icon once. The 'clock' icon will still blink, which I believe is correct operation.

To set the date, tap on 3rd icon down from the top left (it looks like a little calendar). This will put you into the date section of the clock (if you do nothing, it will cycle back to the clock, after ten seconds, as a default). Before it cycles back to the clock, press and hold with the stylus pen right below the word 'DATE', until the the entire displayed date starts blinking. Tap the first two digits of the year to go down in years and tap the right two numbers of the year to go up in years. Tap on the month number to increment; do the same with the date number. When all date entries are correct, either tap the 'calendar' icon, or let the clock sit for ten seconds: it will cycle back to the clock.

I guess you can set the alarm in a similar method.

Hopes this helps!
