Just bought 2 patton workman 1500watt electric heaters and the only 2 of the coils turn red in one and the other the coils do not turn red at all?

replace heater, or if wish the opportunity to start a fire, bypass high limit.. However there are no repair parts, Go the safe route and replace it, looked and they are eBay from $25.00

Call them and let them know and I'm sure they will mail them to you.

Under the main black knob is a bi-metal switch which shuts down the heat at various temps depending on your setting. Their is no timer.

The 1 setting is a 750watt setting and the 2 is a 1500watt or twice the heat...the light will always be on when you have power...the fan will go on if there is a call for heat and if the room if fairly warm it will be all the way to the top..does the company charge for assistance??? never heard of such a thing...

This heater was the determined cause of my total loss house fire. I thought the company would atleast help me find some where else to live, they seem to care. But, as of lately they are doing nothing.
I am told this heater-(prh11- 2008 model- purchased at walmart for about $27.00)
- Had wiring that wasn't up to standards
-1/10,000 units cause fires
-something wrong with the heating element-stops working
- wouldn't stand level
-heating coils
-fires like mine have happened to a few other people
This came directly from a person at Jarden corporation(aka patton-sunbeam)

the heating coil may be broken and shorting out to the case. it is a nichrome resistance wire. replace it.
