Magnavox with pic tube tv skips over channel 3..goes from 2 to 4

you will have to turn on your dvd player and then go to settings on tv and go to chanel and search for new chanels and it will set it up for you

According to the manual for the Magnavox 14MS2331/17B, you switch to the A/V input by pressing Ch+ or Ch- on either the TV or the remote until you see AV as the current option. (Thus you have to scroll down from Channel 2 or up from Channel 69 for an OTA signal. For cable TV, the AV will be reached by Ch - from channel 1 or Ch + from channel 125.) Since it is possible to skip channels by editing the channel list, you may need to check if the AV option has been skipped. To do this, press Menu. Use the up/down buttons to navigate to Install and press the right button to enter this menu. Highlight the Channel Edit line and press the right button to check this. Once in this sub-menu, use the left/right buttons to scroll through the Channel number options (or use Ch+/Ch- to see the stored list). You can also type in a channel number on the remote. Press the down arrow to change to the line that reads Skipped. Use the left/right arrows to change between Yes or No. (No indicates you can reach the channel with the Ch+/Ch- buttons.) Use the Up arrow to return to the channel number line to scroll to other channels. Press Status/Exit to leave the menu system. See page 10 (14 of the PDF) for details.

it simply means that channel3 has been set to skip/go to the tuning menu and select manual search.select channel position3 and cancel channel skip function.

U still have the tv original remote?Yes,must used it to get into chanel 3.Because the manual buttons channels up and down on the tv bazel frame will skip channel 3.Only able get into channel 3 by manual channel buttons up or down only if it was save in the tv memory.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote.

Below are some places where you can purchase a symphonic remote control. But if you don't fancy buying one why not tune channel 8 and upwards to the station's that your are after and just forget about the 3,4,5,6,7. My quess is that the tv system is set to skip these channels. If you go to Menu > tv settings, check out the channels that you are skipping, it should be in the installation part of the tv setting's menu. Make sure that where it say's SKIP > OFF on all of the missing channel's.

Go to the Menu setting, and do a auto channel scan, it will automatically program it to NOT skip 3.

I had that problem 2 my channels disapeared one by one and some will skip yes...

I always use on my remote controll :

1 menu
2 Ch tuning
3 auto

and then wait untill it has found all the channels
