SOURCE: Fill beans message keeps coming up on jura capresso impressa s9

You need to open the grinder, it`s probably packed with old fine powdered coffee that blocks the outlet. Clean this out and try again. Since it works normal when you use pre-ground coffee, there shouldn`t be any problems with any other parts.

Let me know if you want a description for have to open and clean the grinder.

Good luck!

SOURCE: The V-Spresso burr grinder gums up using flavored

Hi
Its not a good idea to use flavored coffee in any grinder that will grind fine. They contain sugars and chemicals that will gum up all good grinders. Use an unflavored, preferably light roast cheap if you can get it. Set your grinder on very coarse ( largest number) and make a couple coffees. This is how to clean any good grinder. Once you have ground through the chea[p stuff. you can put you beans (not flavored) and use the 3 cup to drink. That way the cheap beans will not be used in your coffee. Don't put a lot of cheap beans in the grinder. A couple of handfuls is all that is needed.

SOURCE: Capresso C3000 Mega-weak coffee

I have a Capresso fo 7 years now, had few problems, but always solve them.
If youe machine does all the functions properly, but doesn't give you coffee, you should check if everytnhig goes into the grounds tray. If that's the case you may only have a broken "O ring" inside the pressing element. It makes the coffe, but throws it away instead of filling the cup. I had that problem, and it was the "O ring".
If the grounds dunped on the tray are dry, you're looosing the water in the back, probably on the relief valve.
Hope this helps!

Using these methods, you may reassemble a Capresso 560 coffee grinder :-
  1. Verify that the grinder is disconnected and touchably cool.
  2. Reinstall the bottom burr component.
  3. Replace the three metal balls and three springs under the burr.
  4. Replace the bottom burr piece with a screw.
  5. Change the T10 11.59mm screw.
  6. Put the green wire back where it was.
  7. Change the washer and metal retainer.
  8. Put the hopper back where it belongs.
  9. To check that the grinder is operating correctly, turn it on and ground some coffee beans.
Here are some extra pointers :-

Why does ground coffee not go thru shoot

If using Beans; it is set to fine and due to static it sticks - OR you have a blockage..

If you are putting ground coffee into a grinder; the static will be a bigger issue and in addition there is no weight from the beans to press the grinds into the burrs. A bean grinder is not ment to grind beans that have already been ground.

Get a better grinder and do not buy supermarket beans.

Jura j5 keeps indicating beans need filling once a button for coffee has been depressed. then indicates ready again. Beans are full and I have tried blocking off the sensor (beans full) but still the...

Sometimes certain beans do not move freely throughout the grinder. Oily beans, which is not necessarily a bad thing, do not fall into the grinder easily and tend to stick. It is necessary to sometimes to just poke or stir the beans around with your finger to make sure they fall into the grinder. For a safety measure do this while your machine is turned off.

Hmm, I have Capresso Infinity Burr Grinder #560, and I accidentally placed the upper burr back in upside down. Now it is stuck. I do not see the "black section with a long slot" around the blade.

Yes! I had the same issue with putting the burr in upside down and then twisting it an effectively "locking" it in there incorrectly. I tried the "knife" solution that worked for some people here, but it was placing the bean container back on and twisting counter clockwise that did the trick!

So glad I found this thread and didn't give up trying to fix my burr grinder (which we love).

Thanks to jaybayca!

I accidentally placed the upper burr in upside down. Now it is wedged in and I can't get it out. Any suggestions?

I've posted this in a few other places on this site (there are many ways to ask the same question), but try putting the clear bean container back on and untwisting as if to unlock it -- the problem isn't just that we put the upper burr in upside down, but then we locked it into place with the bean container. I keep getting "Fill Coffee Bin" when the bin is

Sounds like the grinder is blocked. Set the grinder to the coarsest setting (largest number) and try a few more times. If still no luck then vacuum out all the beans, run the grinder again a couple of times and then add a small amount of fresh beans (not from a fridge or freezer as these will be moist and can cause problems) and try making coffee again. If after a few tries it still doesn't work then you will either have to remove the top grinder burr and clean both burrs (not recommended unless you are bit of a handy person) or you could try vacuuming out the beans again and letting the grinder dry out for a while (although unlikely, it could be wet from water spillage). Good luck hope this helps.

The machine says FILL BEANS but beans are in it...yes, we did run out of beans but now it won't recognize beans. we cleaned it out, grinded , etc...but it still says fill beans. We also rinsed many times,...

Hi
Oily beans (shiny) can some times stick together after grinding with a fine setting. Try opening the grinder setting to the very coarsest setting and see if it will clear the passage. If you have pushed the brew button an lot of times you may have packed the grounds in the passage which will have to cleaned manually.
Once you have the grinder working again, open it to the coarsest setting to clean the burrs. 1 time is enough. To turn the grind setting back down to your setting make sure that the grinder is running at that time. You can open to a coarse setting any time but it has to be running to finer.
