White 2037 Bobbin Filling

Hi,
I can't find my manual and haven't filled a bobbin for a few months. Do I wrap the thread around a certain way? I know I put the bobbin on the spindle on the top and click it over to the right, but thread keeps getting wrapped around the spindle holding my spool of thread just under it!
Thanks

Turn your thread 3 turns to the right, clockwise,
then pass theend of the thread, under the coming thread and give it another 3 turns to the right.
For better results, always remove old thread from bobbin before filling it up.

Not catching to wind the bobbin

You should first make about 10 wraps manually with the thread around the bobbin before putting it on the machine to wind the bobbin--continue to hold the thread tail for a few seconds after you start the machine so the thread will not slip off the bobbin. Some people will put the thread tail through a hole in the bobbin, put the bobbin on the pin and wind with the machine. The only problem with that is if your machine is finicky (like some computerized model), any thread hanging outside the bobbin may cause the machine to malfunction.

I owen a Creative Touch Fashion Machine Model 1030. I tried to fill the bobbin and the thread is filling under the bobbin instead of inside the bobbin. Had it fix in late 2009 and it came back with this...

I've had that problem before, I wrap several loops on the bobbin it's self & as I start to wind I make sure the thread from the spool is pulled tight from the spool to the bobbin,,& that usually takes care of the problem

I am having problems with my bobbin. Every time I load it and start to sew it gets jammed and the needle stops. There is a mess of thread around the bobbin.

Check the bobbin tension and that the thread is tight around the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin is in the right way around - the bobbin thread should double back on itself coming out of the bobbin holder.

How to stop bobin thread from knotting

When loading the bobbin there is most likely not enough tension on the thread letting it overlap incorrectly. Try wrapping thread around a tensioner when filling and that should help. That way the bobbin is rolled as tight as the tension on the upper thread when sewing.

When winding the bobbin, the thread keeps wrapping around the bottom of the bobbin post

Make sure the bobbin is pushed all the way onto the post and that the thread is running through the tensioner on top of the machine above the needle area.

Cannot thread bobbin

If I remember correctly this machine has a little arm in the bobbin case area. You will need to open the slide plate, move that arm towards the middle of the bobbin. Thread your machine as normal, take the thread going through the needle eye and wrap it around the thumb screw a couple times, then start "sewing" your bobbin should begin filling, once started, you can release the thread wrapped around the thumbscrew. Once filled, you simply close the slide plate and that moves the arm back into place and start sewing.

Bobbin filling on Singer 626

The Singer 626 has a self-winding bobbin. You place the empty bobbin in the bobbin thingie (sorry for being so untechnical). On the left of the bobbin you will see a "lever" with a circular top on it (I think it is red-ish) Again, sorry for being so untechnical. Press the "lever" down. Thread your machine, thread the needle, wrap the excess thread from the needle around the knob that tightens the needle and holds it in place and press your foot down on the foot pedal. The bobbin will automatically wind as you hold the foot pedal down. Do not wind the thread onto the bobbin past the outer white line.

PLEASE GIVE ME THE PRODUCT # FOR BOBBINS FOR WHITE MACHINE MODEL # 2037. THANK YOU

Rebecca, I don't know if you ever received a solution, but after my experience with my White 2038, I would advise you to do exactly what you said. "Throw it out". I've struggled for a week with a new machine, found parts missing after opening the box and generally feel ripped off. I am throwing mine out! I purchased a Singer yesterday and it is sewing beautifully with no problems.

Good luck.

Bobbin thread won't catch

I've just had this exact problem with my model 2037. The problem, according to 3 shops I've taken mine to, is that the shuttle hook (the metal piece that the bobbin sits in) is broken and needs replaced. Problem is, the piece is next to impossible to find.
