Your power pack will tell you what voltage wall charger you need. Where you plug one in, it will show 12v, 17v...etc. Yours is probably 12v. On the right side of the connection hole, if you see a + sign, your pack requires positive polarity when you attach an adapter. You can find universal power adapters with an adjustable output and various tips that is sure to work well with your pack. All tips will have a + sign on one side and a - on the opposite side. Just make sure you put the correct side of the tip (- or +, depending on what's on the right side of charging hole on your pack) on the same side of the wall adapter's wire connector end that has the word TIP on it or some other demarkation.

If you have an on-board charger for your power chair this outlet is for your charger cord. One end of the AC cord plugs into the wall outlet and the other end plugs into the trapezoid shape outlet on the side of the chair. This is the same shaped AC cord used to power computers and other devices. You can buy one a most hardware stores and places like Radio Shack. If you are using an off board charger which plugs into the front of the joystick (round plug)to charge the chair, then you don't need to use the on-board one and you don't need another AC cord. Usually this problem is due to the firmware. When the firmware is updated to version 1.62.02, this problem usually will be corrected. The older firmwares have problems in recognizing the battery and allowing the battery to power the unit.

You will need a wall/AC charger for the operation. Plug in the wall charger and USB cable at the same time. Your Zen should power on when connected to direct AC power via the wall charger. Once it is powered on, connect the USB cable to your computer. Then begin the firmware download.
