the battery in the mouse makes the red light come on, not the operating system.

Otherwise look for new drivers on manufacturers site.
You need to download and install the Windows 7 drivers for your device. They don't come with Windows. Only the device manufacturer will have them. If you have a laptop you will need to identify the devices and search other systems that use those same devices and Windows 7 to find them.
Took from the FAQ on Phillips support page At the time this webcam was designed, Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems did not exist yet. Unfortunately, the internal hardware of the webcam does not match the requirements of these operating systems. Therefore we cannot provide a software upgrade (driver upgrade) to support Windows Vista or Windows 7. We apologize that we are not able to support you in this matter.
hi. the Driver of USB Controller is deleted (by a virus or something like that) and you need to install some drivers. so put the motherboard driver Disk in your drive and try to update the unknown device in your Device manager or install complete drivers of the Disk.
If you have a Windows operating system such as Windows 7 or Vista, they usually have the driver built in the operating system. If it doesn't, you can have the operating system automatically locate one on the Internet for you - make sure your computer can connect to the Internet by checking your browser.
Plug the camera in and have the operating system detect the new device - you get a notification stating the device is connected and will attempt to install the driver - follow the directions on the prompts.
Sony does not support Windows 7 for this device (yet?) However, Windows Vista uses the same driver model, so there is a good chance the Vista drivers and software work for under Windows 7, too. You may have to override some warnings from User Account Control (UAC) during install.
1.Drivers are usually given by the manufacturer to work with the latest OS (operating Systems). Sometime Windows 7 will detect the device and input the drivers it has in it "cab files" but if not present it will prompt you to look online to the manufactures website for updates or it will ask you to run the compatibility wizard . 2. Windows 7 has an option also to run the device in another operating system mode such as Windows XP and may have the drivers stored in the "cab files" for Windows XP for example. If not the manufacturers device will not run in the Windows 7 environment.
