Tried to download a pdf file and 'Runtime Error' flashed up. This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. THEN Adobe 9.1 reader has stopped working. a problem caused the programme to stop working correctly. windows will close the programme and notify you if a solution is available. Have heard nothing. Please help

Try unstalling and re-installing Adobe reader. Hope it would fix the problem with acrobat.
Else, you may download latest version of acrobat reader and install it. the problem could be with the file. it has nothing to do with the operating system.
