SOURCE: mo picture on monitor

I had the same problem. power led would flash green for a few minutes then the monitor might come to live. the problem was multiple bad G-LUXON capacitors on the power supply board and inverter. the monitor is full of them. just search online for bad caps and they are near the top of the list. replaced them and it came back to life.

SOURCE: Magenta vertical stripe sets plus grid dots problem

Staples office supply store said it was the monitor and, after buying and installing a new $200 monitor, I discovered it wasn't the monitor. I brought my hard drive to a reputable computer repair place, who charged me $50 total to install a new video card. He also supped up my hard drive with an additional 512K ram for $20 and now things are so much better. You were right! It was the video card.

SOURCE: northgate vt7v71 monitor power led will come on

You have to open uo the set and check for 12vdc feeding the backlight inverter circuits, if you do have 12vdc then the inverter circuits may be bad, also look for bad caps. see example of a couple years old failed monitors: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

SOURCE: the monitor just shows colored stripes

The most likely problem here is a lack of drivers.
To test it, see if you can start your computer in safe mode. If you are still getting only stripes no matter what you do, your monitor may very well be bad. I would attach another monitor to the computer just to be sure.

The computer monitor viewing screen continues to flicker and change color tints at random moments. It makes it difficult to view the monitor screen clearly. I would like to know how to solve this problem...

have you made sure the video cable is plugged into the screen and the back of the computer correctly. You could also try a new video cable, because the problem may be that the wires inside the video cable have frayed. If that doesn't fix the problem you could try using a different monitor and see if you can replicate the same problem with a different monitor, if you can, the computer may have a problem with the graphics card. If you can't replicate the problem with a different monitor, it seems as though your northgate innovations monitor has developed an internal fault, if the monitor is within warranty try and get a free repair or get it replaced (if you have the receipt.

Make mic to work on desktop monitor how to do i need driver

The mic connects to the computer not the monitor. It will work if you connect it to the Mic Input port and have it set right. You may or may not need a driver.

Ist there a driver that will allow my Northgate 7nss monitor work properly with windows 7?

1.Drivers are usually given by the manufacturer to work with the latest OS (operating Systems).
Sometime Windows 7 will detect the device and input the drivers it has in it "cab files" but if not present it will prompt you to look online to the manufactures website for updates or it will ask you to run the compatibility wizard .
2. Windows 7 has an option also to run the device in another operating system mode such as Windows XP and may have the drivers stored in the "cab files" for Windows XP for example. If not the manufacturers device will not run in the Windows 7 environment.

Monitor trouble

More likely to have backlight inverter circuits failure, you need to open it up and look at caps, loose connections, burnt parts, check to see if you do have 12vdc feeding the inverter circuits. 15" monitor may not be worth fixing.
