Mine is an everio gz-mg37u and i get that same bulls*** on the screen at every power up. First I tried waiting a while then switching all the switches between camera and video mode, record and watch mode, etc. and one time it worked and the message went away. Haven't been able to do that since.
Now what I do is turn it on, wrap it in a blanket, leave it about 10 minutes, then turn the power off and on again. Works fine for me, and if I turn it off and then turn it back on within a few minutes before it cools down, it works fine. There has to be a messed up sensor in this thing that I can desolder somewhere......
I think I finally figured it out, when I opened the camera, it didn't have a hard drive in it. I bought one on eBay for $30 for it, (hitachi 30gb zif hdd) and now everything works fine. Maybe your hdd is bad?
My Everio MZ-MG555u same problem, after flying to 3000ft landed and the camera was dead, switched power on and it said temp too low please wait, waited till the cows came home!!!!!. Removed the hard drive replaced with identical Hitachi 30H hard drive from ebay $43(how to do is on youtube) warmed the oven left camera in the oven to warm up, hooked up the power dock and formatted works like new. Note cannot format on battery power will not complete. This is a common problem with the H/drive must be replaced.

Same problem here. No matter how long the camera is on it says, "camera temperature is too low. Leave camera on." Any suggestions out there?
My camera started having the low temperature problem yesterday. I called JVC and they said there were no prior reports of this problem. They recommended that I send the camera to them for repair. I am very upset that this happened, because I have hours of videos on the camera that I don't want to lose. We are going to send it in this week for repair, so I am crossing my fingers it is not a problem with the hard drive.
my jvc everio was working fine and then when i went to look at my footage it said the temperature is to low and i have left it on all night and still no results how can i fix this problem
When I turn it on it says "camera temperature is too low. keep camera power on. please wait." It's been on for 30 minutes now and it still says it. Any idea on how solve it?
