The power won't stay on when the power button is pushed. I've tried blowing it out to see if it's just dirt but I think the connection is just not working with the button.

This tablet does t reset with the power button unlike other Android devices. When you hold down the on/off switch, it only drains the battery. If you see the color indicator still charging, allow a full charge.Then, only stay put and pulse the button for a moment quick and let it rest few seconds to try again and again. Only when u see a light coming out of the screen, and I recommend you do this with the power cord on, you hold the power switch down until the rebooting is iniciated. Let go til it is finish and see where the problem is. More likely, like mine, the Settings stop working and needs tune up for the CPU. Never leave an application running when closing your system. With or without internet connection.

You're best bet would be to buy compressed air and blow out all dust and dirt that has made its way inside the receiver. If dust is clogging the fans it will overhead and shut itself off.

mine does that when it's in stand-by mode. I just push the power button and it comes on....

Assuming you've already tried that....push and hold the power-button down for 5 seconds and the power SHOULD go out. *IF* it does not, then disconnect the power cord in the back for 1min....then reconnect and try to boot. If it *DOES*, then do the same...unplug the power cord for 1min and reconnect and boot.

This is a problem that manifests itself on some of these models and also on some of the G4 models before it.I have a G4 here that does it and last week I was working on a machine like yours doing it.
The thing is, just be a little patient. Press the power button and hold it, count to 10. it may come on. It may not. Try again and again until suddenly you hear the fan start up, a moment later the **** happens and the mac starts up normally.If you are trying to do it with the back off, just short the 2 copper coloured prongs that line up with the power button with a flat-blade screwdriver. (That's all the button does.)
If the worse comes to the worse and you cannot get it to start, don't worry, your pictures are safe on the HD and as you've got the back off, I think it's only 3 screws to remove the HD. Yopu can then connect it to another mac to get at the pictures.

sounds like you broke a connection on one or both wires check for breaks in the cord

If it doesn't click or the light doesn't flicker it is probably either you don't have good strong 12 volt power getting to the fridge(12 volt required only to light on gas the first time) or else the little gas igniter module went out looks like this only sometimes black.


Now if it won't stay lit. It is something wrong with either your flame or your thermocouple. First try just blowing out the the flu right where the flame comes out blow compressed air in so if there is dirt or cobweb in there it comes out the back side. If that doesn't help disconnect your thermocouple and wipe the end and then connect it back up and tighten it. If it still wont stay lit still replace the thermocouple.
