Each time i turn on my washing machine, it cuts off all the power by turning the main fuse off. When i turn the fuse back on, the washing machine starts for 3 seconds and then cuts off the power again. What is the problem and what should i do to get it working again?

Washing machine causes cut-out at fuse box. How do I tell if this is a fault with the washing machine, or maybe some damp-related problem with the wiring?

If your washing machine is causing a cut-out at the fuse box, it could be due to a fault with the washing machine itself or an issue with the electrical wiring. To determine the root cause, follow these steps: Check the wiring: Visually inspect the wiring for any signs of damage, such as fraying or cracks, and check for any signs of moisture or dampness that could indicate a problem with the wiring. Test the circuit breaker: Check the circuit breaker to see if it has tripped. If it has, reset it and see if the washing machine still causes a cut-out at the fuse box. Unplug the washing machine: If the circuit breaker has not tripped, unplug the washing machine and turn off the power supply to the circuit. Check the wiring with a multimeter: Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the wiring and look for any issues with the electrical circuit. Test the washing machine: If the wiring checks out, plug the washing machine back in and turn the power supply back on. Run the washing machine on a short cycle and see if it still causes a cut-out at the fuse box. If the issue persists, it may be necessary to have an electrician diagnose and repair the problem. It is not recommended to attempt to repair any electrical wiring without proper training and experience, as this can be dangerous.

Washing machine wont work

If it's more than 6 years old, it's time for a new one. Or maybe you blew out your fuses. Try resetting the fuse box and switch off and on. Then after you switch back the power, go and try to turn on washing machine again.

My washer will not turn on

Power cut may have blown fuse . If not check mains filter. If that's ok then mother board may be damaged

Hotpoint aquarius wdl540

if the washer has water in, disconnect the waste hose and put it in a bucket and drain out manually, once the water level is low enough the door lock should release without the appliance being plugged in

No power to my Indesit Washing Machine.

PCB has suffered a catastrophic failure due to the power cut, it will need to be replaced. if you have a power cut in the future always turn off your appliances, as the voltage can exceed the appliance recommended voltage. only leave a light on as lights can take the over voltage unless they are led type, you can but power drop sockets that when power is off it turns of the socket off so no power goes thought to the appliance.

Hotpoint , no power, full of water

Turn off the water supply to the machine

Take the drain hose off the back of the machine and drop it into a bucket , you will need to do this several times.(Take off any clips that stop it from being laid flat on the floor)

Once all of the water is out of the machine try powering it up again, if it lights up do a spin to get the clothes dry , leaving the outlet hose in the bucket.

If that works then once the machine is dry try turning on the water supply with the machine turned off , if water runs into the machine then you have a faulty fill valve.

If that is ok then check the pressure switch and Air Bell which sits on the back of the main drum you could have a soap ball in the Air Bell which will false out the machine and cause overfilling

If there is no power check the mains supply to the wall outlet then the plug top wiring and any fuse fitted inside the plug top

After that it is down to a man with a test meter
