I have a polaroid music and video player. 4GB PMP280C-4. I loaded music on it and when I plug the mp3 player into a larger stereo I can hardly hear the music with the mp3 player and stereo turned all the way up. When I downloaded music I had the volume turned up on the mp3 player and my Windows Media Player. Is it possible I downloaded too many songs at once? It's happened before on a different mp3 player. It's been loud once before and when I cleared music off and added different music I can hardly hear it. What can I do to resolve this??

The solution is a simple one: buy a new music player. Replacing the screen will cost more than a new player, and the fact that the music is gone indicates there's more wrong with this device than a broken screen. I hope that music is backed up on your computer, so you can load it onto the new player!
u might be connecting the EARPHONES with a microphone, if that so, then don't insert fully - the 3.5mm jack into the player. partially insert it into the JACKPORT and listen to the music...
try syncing player with windows media player. make sure video's are in mp4 Format if not there are free video converters on the net. that can be downloaded
up by the micro sd slot..while plugged into comp..theres a small hole, use toothpick or paperclicp and push the reset in the hole..comp will then find the MP3 player
MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format.
You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track. It has the capacity to take an 8GB microSDcard, which they will sell you for another $12.
I could say, It's your Granddaughter, go ahead and order one now, you know you want to, but it's only to cover up my fear of how disposable everything is becoming.
you dont need a driver. you got the driver w/installation cd.you need an icon(shortcut) on the desktop so you can find and start the program to convert or encode the vid files to the correct format.btw, on the box of mine it is "pmp280c-4". the problem is that when the setup disk installs the software it DOES NOT put the icon (shortcut) to the software on the desktop like it says it did or will! the software and device are ready but one cant find the program. i have win vista and i found the program with: start button on the taskbar (at the far left), click it and then click "all programs" and then look for "media player utilities 5.20". click that, and then right click "video converter" and then "point" to "send to" and then click "desktop (create shortcut)". this will do what the setup program did not do-it puts the shortcut on the desktop.
