1 Remove the back cover of your Nokia phone, and then pull the battery out of your phone while it is turned on.
Note: If you experience network glitches, coverage issues, or crackling during a call, it is necessary to reset your phone to reconnect with the cell towers in your local area (which connect to GPRS). 2 Wait a good amount of time for a refresh (approximately 30 seconds), and then put the battery and back cover back on the device. 3 Hold down the red end or power button on the phone to turn it back on. 4 Very that a GPRS icon or text appears in the top indicator bar to make sure you have reconnected to the network and activated GPRS. Change Network Bands to Activate GPRS 1 Access the phone's settings from the phone's main menu.
Note: In countries outside North America, you typically need to use the 900-MHz/1800-MHz frequency to get a GPRS signal from one of the mobile providers. 2 Move through the menu to locate the network or network setup icon. This might be two clicks depending on your phone model (network > setup). 3 Click on "band" or "phone frequency" to open the menu with the band option. 4 Select the GPRS frequency option, for example, 850/1900, 900/1800 or "automatic" to have the phone choose the strongest band signal for you. 5 Press and hold down the power button to turn off the phone, and then turn it back on to re-establish the connection to the new band if you have connection issues. Choose a Manual Network Connection to Turn On GPRS 1 Access the main menu on the phone to get to the settings menu. 2 Click the selection for "phone," and then usually there is a follow-up option to select "Operator selection" (based on your model of phone). 3 Select "Manual" to pick a new network to connect to (for international or roaming connections).
Note: Select "Automatic" if you are having connection problems; this will automatically connect to the GPRS connection of your cell phone provider. 4 Verify that your Nokia phone establishes a connection with a network and that the phone works as expected.
hi, if you are using prepaid account you must have more than 50 pesos load to activate your GPRS setting...then do this procedure...., GO (space)N6610i then send to 2951 (all letters must be capitalized),you will received a confirmation from 2951 that your gprs is already activated.. To test if your gprs is working ,send a pic to your own number ..if you received the image ,your gprs is activated...to prevent deactivation of gprs setting ,your load balance must be always more than 50 pesos all the time. i hope it will help you ,thanks for trusting fixya...
China mobiles can be configured to use GPRS with airtel. As this phone is unsupported,it will not be configured automatically as like nokia, sony ericcsson, etc. you have define GPRS connection profile manually by yourself.copy the config details from any other mobiles which has GRPS settings.
To active mobile office on your Nokia 6600 first go to Menu >> Tools >> setting >> connection Access Point: Connection Name >Mobile office Date bearer: GPRS Access Point Name airtelgprs.com Home Page : www.google.com

your cell have Guardian virus may be in memory card or phone try to use kespersky antivirus it will give u 30 days trial download it activate via gprs scan using second option delete u r phone will work fine.
your nokia 6270 is EDGE enabled phone, that means you must get speed like 100 kbps with airtel gprs[mobile office].but you are getting too low speed its beacause of network there is not EDGE enabled till date, you have to wait for that when they upgrade their network services. so with normal gprs you obviously get slow speed its about 3-4 kbps only. so the thing is you cant do anything other than waiting for service upgradation or change your network with other service provider who provides EDGE enabled network.
