If you are supplying your own DSL modem and/or telephone filters, you must ensure they meet the requirements
below before connecting them to the OptusNet DSL network. Connection of unapproved equipment is prohibited.
The modem list contains equipment that has been certified by manufacturers as having passed interoperability tests

equired for use on a DSL network. If your modem make and model isn't listed below,
call Optus Customer Service for further information on

ully supported by OptusNet DSL Broadband Customer Service, the OptusNet DSL Broadband Installation CD-ROM will automatically

The OptusNet DSL Broadband Installation CD-ROM provides detailed information to manually configure these modems, and OptusNet
DSL Broadband Customer Service will provide limited connection support for them.

or modems and routers other than those above, OptusNet DSL Broadband provides only the network connection settings needed for
manual configuration. While this equipment can be used on the OptusNet DSL Network, no OptusNet DSL Broadband Customer Service
will be provided for connection configuration or equipment-related connection difficulties.

check if you have the correct username and password for the ADSL line entered into the router, if its correctly entered then reset the router once it should ideally pich up the ADSL Connection.

Most of the time, one _NEVER_ needs to install _ANY_ of the software provided with a D-LINK router -- it just works correctly straight "out-of-the-box".

If your wireless router is configured with SSID, encryption, MAC address filtering (if enabled) etc. then the Dell wireless card needs to be configured with these settings to allow it to communicate with the wireless router.
Check the settings on your PC's wireless settings, and configure the Dell the same way.

i suggest you upgrade to xp or other your choice try looking online for the specific driver

router do not require software unless this is a usb version.
