If you press the button in the middle at the bottom of your phone the screen will show a list of apps running (or some shortcuts ,if so click the blue arrow at the top right of the screen to get to your apps page) .
Then you can press one at a time to goto and shut them one by one or press 'end all' at the bottom right to close them all.

LG gx500 'Maximum limit of applications reached' when I try to send a text message. Whats up & how do I fix this?

Obviously the card memory is not being used. The phones internal memory is storing everything. The owners manual should instruct you on how to activate the memory cards.

Can't open anything on the phone keeps saying maximum limit of applications reached

Hello There! Go to the task manager and close all opened applications. If you can't find it, try restarting your phone & that should do it.
Then, once everything is closed you could be able to open any application you need. Try not to open to many application you don't use at once.
I hope that I have helped you & that this is post helpful to you at most! Don't Forget To Rate! :)

LG KU990 - Maximum no of applications

It is possible to open multiple applications at once (shown by a "two overlapping squares" symbol in top line of main display - you may have opened several without shutting them down and reached a maximum. Click on Multitasking button (grid shaped button at top right of main screen) to see what applications are open and close them down.
If this doesn't work, power phone off, then on and see if that works.
