I have a qustion that asks "what is e^1.8?' how do I use the e^x button on my Texas ti-30xa?

The y^x button is located just above the divide button.

The carrot button is just above the divide key on the column furthest to the right on the keyboard. It's written as "y^x" instead of "^"

If you're asking about entering powers of ten, use the EE (enter exponent) key just above the 7. If you're asking about exponentiation, use the y^x key just above the divide. If you're asking about antilogarithms, use the second shift of the appropriate logarithm key on the top row.

It cannot be a coordinate symbol (x is any variable ) because the calculator is not a graphical one. Press the [A/C] Clear All button and it will erase all junk in memory and display.
