Will not start first try but will start

If the engine starts and run good on second or third time. Install fuel pressure gauge and run the engine for a wile and turn OFF. the fuel on running engine will be 60-65 PSI. After 5 min. will drop to 40 PSI.If continue to drop to 0 PSI suspect fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump.

Engine rpm serges sometimes and powernosle pressure drop some times

Gas engine surging and losing power sounds like dirty carb to me.
Pressure washers are often used and then sit for months before being used again. This often creates blockage in carb passages. If you have or install a fuel cutoff valve you can reduce this problem. When you are done pressure washing, turn off the fuel valve and continue spraying water until the carb empties ( the engine will sputter and go out) Next time you want to wash turn on the valve and you should be good to go.

Pressure dropping slowly over a few days.

If you have a pressure tank, make sure that 1/3 of the tank is full of air...this may solve your problem
Or maybe you have to install a "foot valve" on the suction of the pump to solve the problem

Came home from work to find that my circut breaker was tripped for my furnace...what and why caused this...i flipped the breaker back on and smelled like it fried the control board....why did it do this

Hi,
The most likely cause was a power surge. The surge from the power line into your house wil fry the board and trip the breaker at the same time. Then when you turn the breaker back on it will continue to fry the board....
Whole house surge protection can help to stop some of the surges, but may not toally protect you from them. Some are too large to be completely stopped with normal surge protection devices.
There are many deivices out that will provide surge protection and some like these that will provide surge protection and can help to save you money.
