I want software of philips gogear 6gb mp3 player

Hello,

If your player is the HDD1620/05 6GB from the UK, next internet page is the matching support site:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=HDD1620/05&slg=en&scy=GB

When you have another player, change the box [country / language] and [Search] box in the page top.

Need assistance regarding my philips gogear 6gb HDD/1630/17 mp3 player

Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

My phillips 1630 6gb is frozen on the gogear screen

Press volume + with the player disconnected from computer.
Continue holding volume + as you reconnect player to computer.
Continue holding volume + after you connect player to computer.
Windows will recognize it for what it is after 5 to 55 seconds and will say "Found Hardware Wizard" - go through re-installation.

Get the latest firmware upgrade after you are done by Opening Philips Device Manager - Click on Update Tab - this will prevent problem from recurring in future.

Note: if you have Windows Media Player 11, ignore everything I said. You must rollback to Windows Media Player 10, or this player will give you constant heartache.
