If you have flash player programs installed in your program, then it should be no problem for you to watch SWF files on the web page.
However, if you just directly open the SWF files that you have stored in your computer, then you may need some specific programs to open this kind of file, or you need to convert the SWF files to common formats such as MP4, AVI and these kinds of formats should be compatible with your player. You could try SWF to Video Converter if you would like to convert SWF.

Hello,

.swf files are Flash files and are played by the Adobe Flash Player. If you currently have the Adobe Flash Player installed, try going to Start --> Control Panel and clicking on Add/Remove Programs. When the screen loads click on Adobe Flash Player and click Uninstall. Finally restart your computer.

When the computer reboots, use the below link to install Adobe Flash Player.

If you are running Microsoft Windows, make sure the speaker setup is correct by following the steps below. Select Hardware and sound or just Sound in the Control Panel window. In Windows XP and older, click Manage audio devices under Sound. On the Playback tab, select your speakers and click the Configure button.26 Apr 2017

DaneElec 4GB suddenly stops working?!

Hello, Likely the saulders on the circuit board are broken. If you are very skillfull and own a fine tipped sauldering device it's possible to repair it yourself although not highly advisable. If you'd prefer to have a pro look at it for you, just comment back with your region(country and city) and I will recommend an appropriate facility. Chris

MACRO MEDIA FLASH PLAYER WHICH SUPPORT SWF FILES IN WINDOW VISTA AS IT SWF FILES ARE NOT BEING SUPPORTING IN VISTA AND SO ALSO ANY SWF FILES CONVERTOR...PLZ REVERT ME BACK IN MAIL ID TO SOLVE THIS...

I came accross this fix.
It worked for Firefox 3.0.3 ,I.E. 8 Beta 2, Opera 9.52, and Google Chrome Dev Release: 0.3.154.0.

Here's the scenario: you download the latest and greatest version of the Adobe Flash Player. After it finishes installing, you go to a site featuring Flash content and are greeted with a message notifying you that you need to install Flash Player, but didn't you just do that? To properly update your Flash Player, you need to run the installation as Administrator. Follow these steps to properly install Adobe Flash Player:

For Vista (32 bit):

1. Open Computer.

2. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\.

3. Scroll down and open the Macromed directory.

4. Open the Flash directory.

5. Right-click FlashUtil9x where x is some letter.

6. Select Run as Administrator.

7. When the UAC prompt appears, select Continue.

8. Follow the Flash Player installation wizard.

For Vista (64 bit):

1. Open Computer.

2. Navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\.

3. Scroll down and open the Macromed directory.

4. Open the Flash directory.

5. Right-click FlashUtil9x where x is some letter.

6. Select Run as Administrator.

7. When the UAC prompt appears, select Continue.

8. Follow the Flash Player installation wizard.

You should be able to download and install Flashplayer 10 (now by Adobe): http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
and if it still won't work correctly, apply this fix: http://thetechangel.com/blogberry/2008/10/adobe-flash-player-10-fix-for-vista-xp/
Finally, a forum where other Vista users discuss the problems they've had.. http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=184&enterthread=y&forumid=44&threadid=1243464

A converter: http://www.sothinkmedia.com/swf-to-video/?gclid=CO72_4X7wJkCFRo-awodAVFAuw
or freeware: http://majorgeeks.com/google_search.html?cx=partner-pub-6960825562757852%3Aecswas-url5&cof=FORID%3A11&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=convert+.swf#0

That ought to sort it out, one way or another. If you need any further assistance, please post back and I'll be happy to guide you through the process.
If this solves your problem, please take a moment to rate this post.
Thanks, and good luck!
