Bad capacitors I have the blue flickering screen problem with my wd52525. I disassembled the electrical chassis and found 4 bad capacitors. I have ordered enough to replace all of the potential trouble capacitors because I don't want to have to do this again. After I replace the capacitors I will try to reassemble the tv but to tell the truth, I'm not real confident, lol. Is there a detailed description for putting this thing back together? If not, it may end up in the landfill!!! jeh

SOURCE: Bad Mits capacitors

if your going thru all this trouble, be sure to check the 4 capacitors on the DM board (1000mf/16volt), the 4 caps on the formatter board (1000MF/16volt) and the 2 caps on the power supply board (3300mf/10 volt) Mitsu recoomends changing the 1000mf caps to 680MF/16volt.
It is kind of a pain to change these.
good luck

LT-46133 FLICKERING BLUE LIGHT

Good day!!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

Our Panasonic rear projection TV (model #: PT51G42V) started having problems today. It appears you are looking at the screen through a lens of some sort, as it is rounded and the top of the picture is cut...

I had a similar problem. I had a 52" RCArear projection tv. It would do this when I initially turned on the television, but then after a few "on/off, on/off, on/off" cycles it would stay on. Eventually it started doing it more; until finally there was a spark and that was it. The tv was dead. The bloggers called it "the blinking green light of death" (because of green light on the panel). The power board is going out.ALSO holding down the Input and Menu buttons afterward will give you some diagnostic information via 2 sets of blinking indicator lights.

You may very well have issues with capacitors on this set being that it is or very similar to the V26 chassis. Since I have spare test lamps laying around, I would normally try that first. If the lamp still would not stay lit, I would then suspect the electrical chassis (capacitors). When I suspect the chassis, I can usually verify it by pulling it out and partially disassemble it and find blown capacitors

Goodafternoon, power comes on with blue light showing then a quick two flicker of the screen then black...electrolytic co-passers?bad?

Hello,

First you need to understand that there is a problem inside the unit that is why you got the flicker and the black screen. Most likely causes are a bad lamp, bad t-com board or a bad capacitor inside the unit.

Either ways, have the television unplugged, assess the main panel for any bad capacitors, if any found, then replace it with a new one, if you do not find any faulty capacitor, then assess the lamp to see if it is faulty, if it is, then you have to replace it, if the lamp does not seem faulty, then you will have to check the t-com board and replace it if it happens to be the faulty component.

To know if a capacitor or a lamp is bad, all you have to look out for is if the capacitor is swollen or looking burnt, and for the lamp all you have to look out for is if it has a leak or is broken or looks burnt.

Take care and good luck

Blue light on/off switch to monitor flickers, but will not turn o

Hello,

The problem on your monitor is a bad power supply. Because of heat buildup in LCD monitors2.gif parts called capacitors overheat and blow out. You can go to our web site at:
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm and see what to look for. If you open your monitor and see blown capacitors that look like the pictures on our site then replace the bad ones and you should be back going. Email me if you have additional questions or if you need to get the capacitors, we carry them in stock.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

Blue screen with flickering horizontal lines

Sounds like the 1000uf capacitors on the FMT board need replacing. This is a common symptom with that chassis. There are three 1000uf caps that fail on that PC Board

There is a 5, 9 & 12 volt dc regulator on the chassis that could be causing this. Three legged transistors on small heat sinks. I f you look at the chassis from the rear of tv, is two boards. The one on the left has these reg. transistors. Usually the 9v regulator is bad and a 35ufd @ 50v capacitor near it is bad. From the tuner as ground check the third leg on the regulator for less than 9v dc.
