How do i reset nikon d60

The D-90 and D-60 are similar so this may work for you. On my D-90, you go to the menu, then click on the little pencil Icon. The top line will read: Reset Custom settings." Click on this line then click "yes" to reset all custom settings back to default. You can also reset individual settings back to default by clicking on the line for the specific setting you want to reset.

In addition, on the top right side of the camera you will find a "+/-" button and an "AF" button. Both are marked by little green dots. Press these two buttons simultaneously for several seconds and it will reset most of the custom settings back to default.

Dropped my Nikon D60 on concrete and now it is taking dark photos! I reset it to manufacture settings but still taking dark photos even outside in the middle of the day. Any suggestions on what it could...

This is not a do it yourself project. Call the Nikon Service Department at 1-800-NIKON-US (1-800-645-6687) 9AM-8PM EST, Monday to Friday. They will tell you how to return your camera for repair and will provide you with an estimate of charges.

Nikon d60 camera keeps taking dark pictures... what can i do to reset this?

Check your "exposure compensation" setting. It should be at "0". You can set it higher for brighter pictures.

I have Nikon D60. The monitor will not display images, but it works for menus, etc. It says it will not display due to current settings, but i cannot find the setting to change it.

The D60 works as SLRs have worked for half a century, using the viewfinder to compose photos. Only recent dSLRs provide the Live View capability, allowing you to use the monitor for that purpose. Nikon introduced this feature with the D3 and the D300. Currently, the least-expensive Nikon with this feature is the D5000.

Overexposed photos on a nikon D60 in sunlight

You could set the white balance to the full sun setting. You could set the ISO to a lower number. You could set the "exposure compensation" to a lower number.

Nikon d60 - error. turn camera off and on again.

Locate the button behind the shutter release button with the green dot next to it. Locate the button at the back lower hand side of the D60 with the green dot next to it. Press both buttons at the same time.........This resets the D60 to its original settings and should resolve the problem.....

Need to change language on Nikon D60

Within the menu items that can be viewed on the back of the camera, there is a language option that you can set. You may have to scroll through all of these to get the correct setting. Nikon tends to change the menu layout from camera to camera, so it may not be the same in your D60 as it is in a D300 or other model.
