Manually configuring Docomo GPRS settings

Take TATA DOCOMO INTERNET' WAP profile in Settings:

In wap 2.0 phones[Nokia,Sony Ericson,samsung,L.g, Motorola etc] enter these additional gprs settings.

If you do not have a Nokia and Sony Ericsson phone, you'll need to set your phone manually with these details.

Browsing the Internet

TATA DOCOMO INTERNET works with any PC or Laptop that has Bluetooth or USB port for the cable.So after getting the settings save them and start browsing on your phone for free.But if you want to connect your computer to tata docomo internet gprs,you willl have to follow the given procedures.

Connect your phone to computer either via Bluetooth or data cable

Bluetooth

• Install the PC suite software.
• Pair mobile handset with your PC or Laptop via the Bluetooth program
• Click on "Connect to the Internet" icon from the PC Suite programs.

Cable:

• Install the PC suite software.
• Connect mobile handset with your PC or Laptop via the USB cable.
• Click on "Connect to the Internet" icon from the PC Suite Program.

or for manual PC configuration,create a new connection using the "Make a new connection" wizard on your PC / laptop.Once a dialer is configured, leave the username and password blank. Enter the access number *99# .You are now ready to start browsing using the tata docomo free unlimited gprs plan.

Connection/Download Speed of Tata Docomo GPRS

I've heard both positive and negative remarks about the download speed of tata docomo internet connection.According to some tests given on their twitter profile,it's said that an user gets a speed of 76kbit/sec.Anyways,lets check for more user reviews from other states as well.

UPDATE: Tatadocomo have changed the unlimited scheme a week after introducing this offer. They now don't have any unlimited internet browsing. New GPRS plans are shown below.

Use a Good Nokia Model Phone with GPRS facility and install Nokia PC Suite updated version. Recharge your Mobile with Internet Pack as provider provide. Then connect with the PC Suit by USB and use the option CONNECT TO INTERNET.......................... it is for PC.

You can also brows in Phone by getting setings of GPRS by Network Service Provider.

You can use GPRS Services on your mobile. You just have to activate any GPRS Plan and should have settings for using the GPRS services according to the plan. You can also connect your mobile to pc via USB or bluetooth. You need pc suite for connecting to pc. If you got any pc suite cd with your phone then just install pc suite and connect to internet.

You have only set this up on your phones GPRS Network Settings. You need to configure it in the Sony PC Suites Network Settings. Use the Vodafone GPRS Network settings in their and you will get a working Internet connecting from your phone.

For using your mobile as a modem to connect to internet from your PC via mobile phone, please follow the below steps:
1. Ensure that you have activated the proper GPRS internet subscription and you should be able to browse in your mobile phone. If not, please contact you network operator's customer care to activate GPRS in yourmobile.
2. You should have proper settings received from your operator and saved in your mobile phone.
3. Install all the drivers and softwares provided in the driver cd which came along with your mobile phone.
4. Connect your mobile phone to your system. If prompted for any mode of connection, choose the connection type as pc suite mode / pc mode, etc but not the mass storage or pen drive like mode.
5. Now use the new connection wizard from start -> programs -> accessories -> communication- > new connection wizard.
6. In the wizard select connect to internet -> dial up connection -> configure manually -> select your mobile phone modem -> provide no username and password.
the dial number would be like *99***1# (IN CASE OF airtel). If you are with any other mobiel operator, please contact you network operator to know abt the dial number.
7.once the wizard is done, then a new connection willbe created in control panel -> network connections window. Double click it to connect.

RK, If you are using Nokia PC Suite on your PC then just connect the phone through the USB cable to the PC. It will be detected immediately and then you can do whatever you want. Run PC Suite and connect to the net if you have GPRS activated on your mobile number. For this contact the helpline of your service provider who will activate the GPRS and send you the settings for it as the settings are service provider specific. Only they can give to you. With the GPRS activated and settings saved, you would be able to connect your phone browser to the internet and also connect your PC to the internet through the phone via PC Suite.

Please ask customer care to give u the settings of aircel GPRS remember to take full GPRS not wap. Then after receiving the settings install it. Restart phone. And open your PC suite connect ur phone, The at network create wizard Give

my handset is nokia N70. i use airtel gprs on mobile. i connect mobile with nokia pc suit on computer. but internet not start on pc. please send me setting for pc
