Is the cutting grid getting warm if just warm make sure you don't have any loose wires supplying power to grid. Check grid cutting transformer to make sure it is working. make sure grid is clean. If you are getting power to cutting grid and it's not getting warm then cube let cutter grid is bad. If this needs to be replaced you might thank about a new machine the cost for this part is around 480.00 part number AP2068335
The voltages in the microwave oven are lethal, there are three common problems, Magnetron, High Voltage diode, or the high voltage capacitor. I highly recommend a professional for sakety sake.
I just bought a new/used GE mongram natural gas range and need an LP conversion kit. Called GE and found them very UNhelpful. Can this be this hard? The party I called will not take the range back. $3000! I thought I got a great deal and cannot use the range the way it is. I need help too.
Depend how old it is, Monogram does have a better warranty then regular appliances, sounds like it may have a bad power supply board in the back.
It may have a compressor problem but the circut board is more likely.
It would probably be worth having a GE tech to come and give you an estimate a the very least.
Only because if you purchase the new board and install it, most places will not accept returns on electronic parts. Hope this helped.
I bought one built in Feb 2005, installed July 2005. Magnetron tube failed Feb 2007 - cost $127 labor to replace. Just failed again Feb 2008 - will cost roughly $135 to replace this time. Not good for such a high end machine!
This can be fixed. It's not a defect at all. The drain is plugged. I will warn you these are a pain the butt to get into so I would reccomend an experienced repairman to do the job. You can expect to pay about $200 for this repair due to labor time. Would appreciate a solved rating for expert advice.
