You can try installing VueScan which comes with drivers, a few people say that it worked for them.

NEVER pay for drivers, NEVER! - and dont install programs that tell you they find your missing drivers etc, all of them are spyware or malware.

Try downloading a scanner driver from the Acer WEB site.If Acer does not have a Windows 7 driver for this model then you may be able to get one from this WEB site.

ACER S2W 3300U Flatbed not "connecting" on Windows ME system.

Go into your device manager to see if there is an error. If there is don't install the software, instead install the driver first. I would also try to unplug the scanner from the computer and plug it into a different port and wait for Microsoft hardware wizard to pop up and point it to the cd for the driver.
