Default hp 2015 password so I can change the IP address

Hi. I don't have the manual for this thing and in order to change the ip through the printer's web console I need to log in. Do you happen to know what that default user and password is?

Thanks,
David Hopper

Make a cold reset or NVRAM reset
To do a cold reset you power on the printer while holding down the go button for about 5 seconds and then release the button. If the button is held for more then 15 seconds it may do a NVRAM reset

Why do a NVRAM reset you can set your IP through your computer. Type in the current IP address in the web browser. enter the machine settings and change the IP address. The thing is that these machines do not have a password on the settings unless you or your it has put one there.

Thanks Jason

Need to turn on wifi for belkin router for desk top

Plug an ethernet cable from the router into the ethernetport of a computer and type in the router's ip address in the browser. For example the ip address will be something like 192.168.1.1

Once you have the correct ip address ( you can google your router'smanufacturer for the ip address if you don't know it), then the routers guiinterface will open up for you to configure the router. It will ask forthe user id and password. Most times this is the default password set bythe manufacturer unless whoever installed your router changed it. You canalso google your router's manufacturer for the default user id andpassword. In fact you could go to the router's manufacturer's website andlook at the manual for your router which will have the ip address, userid andpassword.

Once you are in the router you can go to the Wireless Settings and turn on the wireless and set a password for it.

My hp office jet 7310 will not print from my wireless network. I had a tech guy here reset my d link router and now my printer does not work with it

Did you change the SSID, encryption or password on the router? These are all things that would need to be updated in the printer settings in order for it to function correctly. Another thing to consider would be if the printer had a static IP address assigned to it and you had a reserved IP address in the router for the printer. If this was the case and you reset the router, that reserve would also be cleared, the printer would still think it has rights to that IP address and the router may have already issued it to another client.

I would double check the IP addresses and printer network settings.

I have Windows XP Pro, SP2, Office 2007, and an HP Photosmart C7280 off a wireless router. Printer scans OK but 9 times out of ten it can't see the PC. DHCP is "on" but printer IP address is sometimes Auto...

The problem is you want to have the printer on a fixed IP address. This can be done by reserving the IP for the mac address of the printer in the router OR simpler just set the IP address in the printer.

Change IP settings
The default setting for the IP settings is Automatic, which sets the IP settings
automatically. However, if you are an advanced user, you might want to manually change
the IP address, subnet mask, or the default gateway. To see the IP address and subnet
mask of the HP All-in-One, print a network configuration page from the HP All-in-One.
NOTE: When manually entering an IP Setting, you must already be connected to an
active Network, otherwise the setting will not stay when you exit from the menu.
CAUTION: Be careful when manually assigning an IP address. If you enter an invalid
IP address during the installation, your network components will not be able to connect
with the HP All-in-One.
To change IP settings
1. Press Setup.
2. Press until Network is highlighted, then press OK.
The Network menu appears.
3. Press until Advanced Setup is highlighted, and then press OK.
4. Press until IP Settings is highlighted, and then press OK.
If the HP All-in-One is already connected to a wired network, you are prompted to
confirm that you want to change the IP settings. Press OK.
5. Press until Manual is highlighted, and then press OK.
6. Press to highlight one of the following IP settings, and then press OK.
• IP Address
• Subnet Mask
• Default Gateway
7. Enter your changes, and then press OK to confirm the setting.

The Automatic Private IP Addressing (APIPA) protocol
automatically assigns an IP address from the range:
169.254.1.0 to 169.254.254.255. If the APIPA protocol is
disabled, the default IP address of a Brother print server is
192.0.0.192. To change it, use the printer control panel (if
applicable), the BRAdmin Professional, Web BRAdmin software
or let your DHCP server allocate an IP address to the printer.
2 Refer to chapter 10 of this User’s Guide to learn how to
configure the IP address on your printer.
3 The default password for Brother print servers is access.
