When you have an email account linked to your BlackBerry Tour, you can read, send, and delete email messages just like if you were sitting at a computer. And just like when you use a computer to send or receive email, your deleted emails don't get erased completely -- they get moved into a deleted items folder (sometimes hidden, sometimes visible) in case you ever want to recover them. If you know you won't need to recover those emails, or if you want to free up some extra storage space, you can purge your deleted email messages from your BlackBerry.
To purge deleted emails on a BlackBerry Tour, follow the steps below.
- Open your email folder (or the Messages folder, if you have it set up to display your emails) on your BlackBerry.
- Press the BlackBerry key (the key to the left of the trackball with seven dots on it).
- Scroll down the list of choices to Options and select it.
- Select Email Reconciliation.
- Press the BlackBerry key again.
- Select Purge Deleted Items.
- A confirmation message will appear; choose Yes if you're sure you want to purge your deleted emails.
Note: Purging your deleted items folder will only erase messages that you've previously deleted. Any emails that you have in your inbox (or in any other folder) won't be affected. If you have more than one email account set up on your BlackBerry, purging deleted items from one account won't affect the others.
Are you viewing your Gmail emails on the google website?
Just select the emails you want to delete, and once you have selected the emails you want to delete, the trash can icon appears for you to click in order for you to delete them.
1. This kind of response problem is common. When this happens log out of the system entirely and log back in again a few minutes later.. When you log back in you should be OK. If not then restart your computer, turn the internet connection off and then back on and you should be able to log back on and open your emails. If not then the system is at fault - temporarily - and all users will be affected.
2. (a) There is normally a delete button on the email display. Select the email you want to delete in the email listing (no need to open it) and hit the delete button on the email page display. That should send the email to the junk/trash folder or delete it entirely. If it sends the email to a junk/trash folder you open up that folder and go through the delete process again to get rid of it entirely.
(b) If you select the email and hit the delete key on your computer that should also work to delete an email. It does on my various email accounts and it probably will on yours also.
select inbox click on the email you wish to delete ,click the delete tab.if you want to delete all highlite all emails and click on delete tab,if you delete an email by mistake you can look in your deleted folder and select the email you wish to keep and then go to the move tab click on the drop down tab and select where you wish to save the email to you can also do this same operation to retrieve all your emails
Deleted emails do not go to the Recycle bin. They're moved to a folder called 'Trash' or 'Deleted Items'. So, if you want to delete the emails completely, you can delete all emails that are listed in these folders. In order to do that, you'll just have to login to your email, click on the folder named 'Trash' or 'Deleted Emails'. That will show you a list of all the emails that you've deleted recently. Select all emails and click on delete to remove them permanently.
If you use an email client like MS Outlook, you can just right click on the 'Deleted items' folder and select the option 'Empty Deleted Items folder'.
