Unfortunately, there is little you can do, besides purchase a new points card. I recommend that you do not use any metal object, coins or anything of the like, but instead, use your fingernail when scratching of the silver coding hiding these codes.

Wen i started to scratch off the silver bar on my Nintendo points card it scratched off the code so i cant read the points.

If you call nintendo customer support at 1-800-255-3700 if you have the card handy it should have another number on the back that they will ask for to verify the purchase otherwise they may need info from the receipt of purchase to get you a new one or new number for the card.
Good luck and happy gaming!

I need to put a code it was from the wii

Hi there,

Are you referring to your Wii Shop Channel Code? Here's some information from the Nintendo website for entering your Wii Shop Points:
  1. Access the Wii Shop Channel through the Wii console's Channel menu.
  2. If this is your first time using the Wii Shop Channel, read the User Agreement and click "I agree" if you understand and agree to the terms. Click "Okay" after reading the Wii Shop description
  3. Once on the "Welcome to Wii Shop Channel" screen, select "Start Shopping."
  4. Click the "Add Wii Points" button.
  5. Select "Redeem Nintendo Points Card."
  6. Scratch off the silver area on the back of the Nintendo Points Card to reveal the card's activation number.
  7. Enter the activation number into the space on the screen.
  8. Select "OK" to continue.
  9. If you want to redeem the card, select "Redeem".
  10. Once the purchase is processed, a confirmation screen will appear indicating that Nintendo Points were added to your Wii Shop account.

I'm not really sure what code you were referring to, you weren't that specific. If this is not correct, respond to this comment and let me know what code you are referring to.

My 10 year old son scratched off some of the digits on his Nintedo points card. Now we cannot access his points card. We have the serial number on the reciept of purchase as well as the bar code. ...

I would suggest trying to bring the item back to the place it was purchased. If they are not willing to help you with proof of purchase, I would contact Nintendo sometimes there is a number on the card to contact them.

How to get the points on the wii

Greetings Shalomsaple,

To put the Wii points on your Wii, just go to the Wii shop channel. They should have an area where you can type in the code that's on the card. The code on the card is located on the back of the Wii points card, under the scratch off bar. If you require further assistance, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for using FixYa! =) Please rate.
