Common megane fault im afraid the water gets down by rubber and lands directly onto motor. great french design. new one im afraid and try to place something over motor bit of plastic to let water drip away. parts handy got on line. look up megane window motor and see results on google. about 65 sterling. regards mike autosolutions.ie

It's possible your switch to all window's on the driver's side has failed and needs replaced. It would be a fluke that both window switches quit at the same time but it is possible. I've always found that these switches very rarely completely fail. What usually happens is they become dirty and are not making good electrical connections. Remove your driver's side switch and spray it with a good electrical cleaner and see what happens.
that would indicate a problem with the driver side switch remove and check that its connected ok and not loose if looks ok check for power to and from switch
there is a relay which is part of a mutifunction module rh lower a post area check the wiring/connectors for water ingress and also broken wiring around door hinge area
this is a white box on the other side of the passangers dash board. lift up the bonnet and disconnect it. that will stop the noise but now your heaters will only get warm instead of hot. its some sort of flap to do with the heater matrix. realy anoying
