Not freezing or cooling and compressor clicking on and off

From your description it sounds like the start components (start relay, overload and capacitor) are having problems. The clicking you hear is probably the overload kicking out to protect the compressor. It is quite possible that the compressor simply has gotten too hot and after sitting a while will restart when plugged back in. The start components are not generally considered 'user serviceable' parts. When the compressor has cooled to pretty much room temp, plug it in and be listening for those clicks. If you hear them, unplug it because it could eventually damage the compressor. Those components give the compressor an extra jolt to get the compressor running then they drop out of the circuit. If the compressor doesn't start, it creates heat until the overload drops out.

Gdm-26 does not get cold, makes a clicking noise about every thirty seconds from underneath

Replace the thermal/starter relay. It is located on the side of the compressor. It clicks like if you unplugged the unit and plugged it back in quickly causing an over load on the compressor due to the high side still having high pressure and have to wait for a couple of minutes before you plug it in. The relay is at fault. Hope This Helps.

Model GSI-26 suddenly stopped cooling

It sounds like your compressor is having a hard time starting. Take your model number to an appliance parts store and ask for a compressor start relay. It plugs directly into your compressor and is easily replaced. Remember to unplug the refer first.

GDM-33SL-60 not cooling

Is the compressor (the football-sized case on the outside back of the refrigerator) making a continuous hum or other noise? A constant noise could indicate a serious problem with one or more components. This is a repair that should be left to a refrigerator service expert.

If you hear a clicking noise every few minutes, this means your condenser is trying to work but can't. If your condenser coils are clean, the problem could be the start relay, which triggers the compressor. Have a refrigerator repair pro determine if the start relay is the culprit and to replace it if necessary.

Whirlpool gold refrigerator warming up and freezer defrosting

This clicking noise is the relay on the side of the compressor. It has been damaged and not working properly. Simply replacing this should be able to start your compressor! I would be VERY surprised if this was not the problem based on your description. If I can be of further assistance let me know! good luck!

Freezer and fridge is warm

Sounds like the motor start relay and capacitor both need to be changed. The clicking is the overload cutting off power to compressor because it will not start. It will need a better start capacitor also to get it going again. Keep it unplugged until the parts can be tested and replaced. If not the internal overload may be damaged. you have a deffective compressor the humming that your hearing or the clicking is the relay on the compressor trying to start the unit, the compressor is stuck and cannot start, leaving it unplugged lets the compressor cool down, but as it tries to recool the unit it gets orerheaated again, thus the bad compressor
