Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, no power light, battery light flash orange, wifi light flash blue and orange I bought the Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop in 2008. I use the laptop as a desktop, so I never plugged in the battery. Everything was normal yesterday and I shut down the laptop before went to bed. This morning when I connected the AC adapter to the laptop, there's no power light, the batter light flash orange, the wifi light (on the right side of the laptop) flash blue and orange. When I press down the power button, I can hear the fan start running, nothing else, black screen, battery light still flash orange, wifi light still flash blue and orange. I plugged in the battery and see the same problem. (When I press down the power button, I can hear the fan start running, nothing else, black screen, battery light still flash orange, wifi light still flash blue and orange.) Operating system: Windows Vista. Anyone can help me find out the problem? I am desperate now since I need to access information inside it.

Since it sounds like an issue with the Power first try to release flea power.Disconnect the charger, remove battery, press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.Reconnect the battery and charger.Turn on system and check if it turns on. For further help please check Dell Inspiron 1525 Manual. Also confirm if the light on the charger stays on,when connected to the system.

SOURCE: Dell Inspiron 5160 Black screen on power up

There is a small board that the power button is integrated into that connects to the motherboard. When this power board malfunctions it will cause this issue with the machine. It can, and quite often does, damage the motherboard when it malfinctions. You should take the machine in for a power board replacement and a diagnostic to make sure that the power board hasn't damaged the motherboard.

On the long term, a power adapter with a bigger amperage can damage battery and battery charger.

Better to get an adapter with same specs as the 65/70W one , or an original replacemant:

SOURCE: Inspiron Battery Light Flashing Orange

Battery.

Dell has a chip internal to the battery programed to shut down after a certain number of charge cycles. This means every time you plug the laptop in with the battery installed. When it reaches this determined number the battery effectively shuts down, even though technically it's still good. There have been loads of complaints on the net toward Dell over this issue. I have myself experience this. Battery good one day, powered down, went home, powered up... only to receive the deadly flashing light. Only cure is to replace battery. Several hacks trying to get around this but they're all horrible. Bad Dell - bad, bad Dell!

I have a wifi problem with my dell inspiron 1525. It wont light up

Try to remove the battery and then connect it to the feeder, and start the laptop.
Try to disconnect the power adapter, and let go without any power source, so you can download it, then connect the power!

I have a dell inspiron 1525 the battery light was blinking orange and wouldnt come on so listening to an expert i bought a new battery when you first plug it in should the light still be orange??

Hi. Blinking orange light on battery indicator means it's charging. To make sure, point your mouse to the battery icon on the Taskbar located on the lower right-hand corner of your screen...near the system time and speaker icons. It should say plugged in, charging. If you see "plugged in, not charging, then you need to call Dell Phone Support for additional help.

Battery light flashes blue once, orange once. Manual says battery overheated and let it cool. Been cooling for 3 1/2 hrs unplugged from anything and still nothing. No power..and blinking blue to orange...

With battery in, boot to the BIOS, check indications under battery health. I'm pretty sure it will indicate battery decline/failure which will mean, replace the battery.

Hello ! I have a problem in my laptop so any time when I charge my laptop the charge light is be blue and now is red or orange what is the problem and how I repair that ? thanks.

Hi,

The battery on your 1525 needs replacement, if the battery charge light is "blinking blue then orange". You can check the battery health meter by removing the battery and pressing the battery icon beside the 5 led lights. If 1,3,5 lights are lit, it means the battery is faulty. Batteries are covered in your warranty for only 1 yr.

Hope this helps

This is directly from the User Manual:
If the computer is connected to an electrical outlet, the Battery light operates as follows:
• Solid green: The battery is charging.
• Flashing green: The battery is almost fully charged.
If the computer is running on a battery, the light operates as follows:
• Off: The battery is adequately charged (or the computer is turned off).
• Flashing orange: The battery charge is low.
• Solid orange: The battery charge is critically low.
