MKane I'm sure you checked the freewheel lever located under the right rear shroud to make sure it wasn't in freewheel. If its in drive mode are you hearing the brake click when you push in the throttle? Scooters are hard to troubleshoot because of all the different components used to make it go. It could be the throttle pot, the speed control pot, the cable going from the console to the rear of the scooter. Check the circuit breaker or fuse at the rear to make sure it hasn't popped. Check all your connectors at the rear to make sure none has come loose. Without being there this is the best I can do for you. You might contact your Provider where you got the scooter to see if they will check it for you Good Luck Hope this helps you

Green Light flashes when key is in. WONT GO !!!

  1. Check the battery: Make sure the battery is fully charged and properly connected to the scooter. If the battery is low, charge it fully before trying to use the scooter.
  2. Reset the controller: Turn off the scooter and disconnect the battery. Wait for a few minutes, then reconnect the battery and turn on the scooter. This should reset the controller and may fix the issue.
  3. Check the freewheel lever: If the freewheel lever is engaged, the scooter will not move. Make sure the freewheel lever is disengaged before trying to operate the scooter.
  4. Check the throttle: If the throttle is not working properly, the scooter will not move. Make sure the throttle is fully engaged and that there are no obstructions preventing it from moving.

Getting a 250 Rascal Motorized Scooter to run when battery indicator shows green. Is there a safety feature that we are unaware of?

If you leave the battery charger plug in the charging port the scooter will not move. If the disengagement lever is not engaged the motors will not run either.

Scooter won't move

Things to check: Drive/Free wheeling switch, brake release lever (this activates an internal micro-switch that enable power to the drive system, battery box connectors (condition of contacts - corroded, missing, loose. etc.); main control cable (corrosion. lose or missing pins, etc). If all these are OK, could be controller or drive control potentiometers (speed, forward, backward) on the handle-bar (tiller).
Good luck!

Freerider Ascot Electric Mobility Scooter (4 wheel) Battery charges and holds current - horn works and shows green on power dial Scooter hardly moves underload - the engaged lever is set correctly. I...

I would suspect the brake is not releasing correctly and dragging on the motor housing. Try driving the scooter a short distance and feel the motor case at the rear near the brake assembly if it is very warm or hot the the brake is sticking and will have to be replaced. Hope this helps

Hi My wife has a Golden Companion GC 221, has new

Has the scooter been stored for a while? It sounds like there are damaged cells in the batteries. This can cause the charger to register a full charge when actually the batteries are nearly empty. When you operate the scooter, you cannot get full power because the batteries just don't have it to give. Try replacing the batteries to see if that solves that problem.
