Wez Thats a normal indication of a full charge. The battery level indicator will go down as you use the scooter. Always charge the scooter overnite if you use it a good bit during the day. With new batteries it will take 8-10 charging to break them in and operating at 100%. Always store fully charged and if not used alot charge once a week after you have charged the batteries 8-10 times

Hope this helps

Phoenix 3 - S35015 Mobility Scooter will not move

Question edited for clarity and toss in some CAPS.
Question moved from Cameras to Make model category.

Check the breaker. Really though all secondhand mobility scooters should be dealer serviced before the new owner uses them.

The red light flashes 5 times scooter will not move

I would look at the freewheel lever. Disengage and then engage the freewheel and see if this corrects the problem. If not, you may have a bad freewheel switch.

By the way you say you changed the batteries but what about the charger, are you 100% sure that working okay as in charging the batteries to a ideal voltage level around 27.5 DC ,max voltage should no more than 28.2 volts DC, this will give you a 100% usage of the batteries in question...

This model Drive Phoenix 3 wheel is found for sale at pharmacies and is subject to floor model abuse.

Most common abuse is not recharging batterys and letting them sulfate thus
reducing life of of charge.

I have found that the foward and back-up levers have been bent
by people sitting and squeezing both levers at the same time. the resulting misshaping of the levers results in a very slow speed comand to the controller because of limitted movment of speed control. The result is that main control (turtle/hare) must be advanced to fast (hare) position to get scooter to move.

I have had success straightening levers by carefully bending them in opposite direction on my Phoenix 3W ( which was a clearence item with no warranty.)

The real (legal)solution is ordering a new lever having a technician
replace it so as not to void warranty.

Hope this helps....jth1939

Check this site to locate the controller for your scooter to determine what the lights mean: http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
Did you buy it new or secondhand? If it is new, it may be covered by warranty to have service done at no charge. Check your owner's manual for fault codes; contact the manufacturer if you are still having issues.
