Dishwasher fills then empties Immediately

My dishwasher went faulty with error code 3 (Eco) and 5 (Prewash) flashing and the machine wouldn't empty. I thought I'd found the problem which was a piece of broken glass stuck in the pump. I cleared this but the machine now fills but then empties immediately and the same two fault lights come on again. I was told that this could be an overfil problem so the machine trips and pump out, this seems logical but the same two fault lights come on which I was told was blocked filters or pump, but pump seems to be working ok now and filters are clean. Any ideas?

Thanks, wasn't the problem but helped me along. Not sure what fixed it but blow down the pressure switch fill pipe and seemed to clear the fault. I suspect it got water in it when I had the machine on it's side fixing the pump.

Dish washer fills and then drians without washing

If you're sure it is heating the water, then it sounds like the wash motor/pump has failed. If you've worked on washing machines and/or dish washers before, this is potentialy a DIY job - the Haynes Dishwasher manual is very good, and parts can be found on the internet.

The reason for cheking it is actually heating the water is that the symptoms sound very similar to those of a failed heater = fill, pause, empty, stop usually accompanied wth an error code. Error code will be presented by a number of flashes of a lamp, or a number on a display panle depending whch machine you've got.

My dishwasher is sticks in between washing cycles

These mechanical timer machines have to follow a series of logical steps to complete the program - ie, empty. fill to level 1. wash. heat to temp. etc etc
My guess is the machine is not heating, as you say it works for part of the program - or possibly it is not emptying correctly? check water heating element and drain pump.
Program 4 eco is a separate program from 3, using low temperature washing - the machine does stop between 3 and 4 normally and doesnt carry on through.

Dishlex global 300. ECO light flashing.

if that fails then try emptying the over flow try found behind the kick panel below the door. 2 phillips screws will be found either side under plastic screw covers, behind kick panel you will find the cover for all internals remove a total of 6 screws from these covers, then with a torch you will see the internal workings of the machine. located at the bottom of it all is a small kidney shaped tray that may have some/alot of water. this is the over flow tray. empty by soaking up the liquid with a sponge. reassemble then try starting it.

Is it possible that water has gotten inside the controls that could have caused the flashing lights? Kind of like spilling water on a calculator, everything seems to go haywire.

Fills and then empties and error 1

sounds like the new PCB is not connected to all of the sensors (the water fill sensor especially) either that or you have got a faulty PCB.

Dishwasher error codes please help

I too had this problen today. Printed off a manual from the Hotpoint website. Very helpful troubleshoot section. Anyway, flashing eco and fast lights and beeping sound indicates 'water feed pipe blocked' You need to check the water inlet connections on your tap. However, when we pulled it out we noticed the blue water inlet pipe was slightly kinked. Straightened this out and hey presto! It works fine again. How this happens when its worked ok for 18 months will never know but still. Try it! hope this was helpful...shewoo
