Plug off the power for 24 hours
look for any bulged capacitors in the power board. but see if some light comes if u turn ON after 24 hours.
may be due to some heating or leaking also.
please dont forget to accept the solution if u go by it.
ya try a fan externally to cool it off. if the heat keeps radiating then it may be due to some shorting.
and if not u will have to install some heat dissipater's externally,
that would be a last step.
go step by step.
first of all try cooling the unit.
if u get fixed well and good.
else next we will have to move for convergence amplifiers only

I've had it unplugged overnight, and this morning, I get the same sequence of green lights going off on the power board as before. A clue I picked up was that it was very hot and humid when it turned off. If I try usng a fan to cool the power board down, do you think this will help?
I just found the owners manual for this TV and the model number is 55UX58B, not the one I originally thought.
I also read that convergence amplifiers (TK 391-110 there are two on this set, have a history of going bad and causing my symptoms. Does this make sense to you?
that should read STK 392-110......soryy for the error
I've had a fan on it for cooling purposes forthe last huor or so, and when I plug it in I get exactly the same results. I have read that maybe fuses E994 or C707 could cause the same problem I'm having, and not the convergent amplifiers. I can sppot the two fuses mentioned, but I cannot find the convergent amplifiers.
