Laptop say's not conected-& conections are availabble---Now I've tried the unpluging thig & reset button too & windows help also---I don't think the router is sending a signal

I do not use an automatic driver detection program, because they have a tendency to install the wrong drivers.

I look in Device Manager, and use the driver that matches THAT device, the O/S used, and is the newest version, (Date), with all the bugs worked out from an older version.

For your laptop that would be;

Ethernet Driver for Intel PRO/100 VE LAN that is the 49675 version, and has the date of November 8, 2002,

On the right below task bar find network conection >>> open network conection
On Local Area Conection ( cord ) right click >> properties rolls down to Internet protocol (XP) or IPv4(WIN7) click properties >>> on general tab choose Obtain an IP address automatically >>> click OK >> OK

I have a similar problem when connecting to a new network with my laptop sometimes.
I would try two things:
-Restart your netbook and see if it will connect, sometimes that's all it needs
-"Reset" your wireless router. This does NOT mean hit the reset button to get rid of all settings, instead, just unplug it for ten seconds and plug it back in.

Look by the clock.. on the start bar for a icon to conect

open it and makesure its on,, and then conect to you WIFI, try reseting your wifi router, try reseting your internet box

If you already know how to do all that with no luck,
check the drivers for the wifi card

Its ether not conected to a network, lost driver, wrong network setings or bad wifi card.

try to conect external monitor to this laptop if there will be same issue then its vide card if not then LCD alsow cheack conection from motherboard to lcd and you could try bis test (at turned off laptop hold "D" and turn laptop on then relese all buttons) it will cheack LCD

Try reset router to factory settings and start from scratch. Uninstall drivers for wirless card and reinstall...

The instructions for connecting to a wireless network is under the "wireless local area network" instructions.

see pal.for this you do require ip address settings by that i mean ip address,subnet mask and default gateway.if you do have these settings then the dns address can be used for static ip address primary = 4.2.2.2 & secondary = 4.2.2.3

try reconneccting the lan cable from your router to your main desktop, take it out for about 5 seconds then put it back in, a light should turn on around the port but check with the on screen details. this should fix it, if not you may need to set up a lan connection through thte network thing

Your router is obviously a revison Fx.

Says it's for revision Fx and has a higher release number than the UK version.
